You can report back to headquarters that today's FUD comment just didn't work.

There is no headquarters. The problem is that, in happy's world, ATi products will kill your mother with a giant cucumber carved into a bust of Perry Como, bite off the head of your pet hamster and give you colon cancer.

On a related note: Happy, have you had your colon checked recently?

Is BFBC2 loading times really that bad? I'm still using the 10.3 driver without the load fix and I don't find the load time to be long enough to make me want to upgrade.

Yea, I've been lazy and am still on 10.3 as well. Everything just works, so I haven't touched it. Maybe when 10.7 comes out I'll update. Sometimes I just hate fixing what isn't broken though...

I don't have to the prblem is or was real, it's old news.

Here is a link to AMD forums and the BSOD problem.

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=135120&enterthread=y

Here is the old thread.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?p=30012964

Since I'm always skeptical, why am I of the understanding that this thread doesn't apply to you. Which leads me to question why are you bothering reading threads in detail such that you linked to and this thread, and why you're posting such an obvious thread crap type of post, anticipating that someone's going to call you out on it & you're ready with a response? It looks far more like trolling, else a marketing strategy to me. So which is it? And, being very aware that there are apparently tons of shills, apparently for both companies, I'm skeptical that so many people signed up on that forum just to make one post which was essentially "me too." People with problems look for solutions, not join forums just to post "me too." This, also being a tech forum, seems to be mostly void of that phenomenon. Another interesting thing that I noticed is that Apple fans don't flock to the windows software forum, reporting problems. And, the windows people don't run to the Apple forum, reporting Apple problems. In both cases, we consider it to be trolling. Just what motivates you to do this? Trolling? Or Marketing? Consider yourself warned publicly that if this continues, I'm going to consider you a shill, else a troll - both bannable offenses.

It was a link from another thread on this forum.
ANd ok'd by another moderator.

How would this thread not apply to me? I just upgraded to the 10.6 drivers.
Well before I go and upgrade my drivers , I do read what problems might arise ,don't you?

Motivates me? Well ,if you had a crossfire BSOD like many ,mabe you would thank me, others have.

If I'm a marketing troll as you publicly said (with no proof), why on earth would I have recommended 100's ATI cards in the past?

If you read my past posts you would have seen that.

So for now on if Anandtech members (with ATI cards) see/find something wrong with ATI drivers,we should just keep our mouths shut because we will be called marketing trolls by the mods for no good reason.
And in this forum, you can not have a opinion.
REAL NICE!

Edit: did you even read the old thread? Do I sound like a market troll?

It was bad enough that by the time I would load into a new game, all the vehicles would be gone and sometimes a bomb would already be set at an objective.

It would take a good minute to load a map. Once i finally got 10.5a installed for my mobility GPU's (no thanks to the worthless/incorrect modding instructions on the ati forums by a moderator) it cut it down to like 10-15 seconds.

It was nothing deal-breaking but it was definitely an annoyance, especially if i had to run all the way to the action.

I don't own a sli gtx 480 setup neither but I will tell you that dual monitor power consumption was not fixed in the latest drivers yet?

SO whats your point?

My point is that you DONT own a Crossfire setup and since this issue only affects those with multiple cards i don't see why that makes you think that you somehow will have problems.

I never saw you dedicating any time thread crapping Nvidia's topics but somehow you LOVE to post on ATI ones and 99% of the time it's negative stuff.

Better safe then sorry.

To be honest , I can't bash a Nvidia driver I don't own a Nvidia card?
The only thing that could be said about Nvidia that I know is, that there cards run hotter and consume more power.

OH yea ... and there dual monitor power consumption sucks ,unless they fixed that?

I don't make the news, I break the news.

On that logic, you can't bash a Crossfire setup either, you dont own one.

I never bashes a crossfired setup. I said be carefull of the New drivers while using crossfire.

How do you confuse bashing a crossfire setup with informing members of BSOD with 10.6 drivers and crossfire?

No, you said "Do not install these drivers if you run any kind of crossfire!" One statement sounds moderate and reasonable, the other is patently false.

The reasonable statement would have been "there are some users that have reported issued with Crossfire on 10.6 drivers," but you didn't say that at all, did you? What you were doing is going well beyond "informing members."

Quit trying to bait people.

Well I figured if there was anywhere there was NOT a ATi TROLLING thread it would in AMD's own forums.
Thats the link I provided.
So who's baiten?

OH just because YOU didn't get a BSOD no one else has ?
I guess I made it all up?
The thread is a lie and made up of Nvidia fanboys?
The guy who posted the thread is a member here....

Keep trying....

Funny how I knew the members that would come to the rescue of bad drivers.

You watching Mr. Pizza?

I don't troll , I give the facts as I see them. Nvidia or ATI, doesn't matter, and been doing it for 7 years.

There is a substantial difference between
They will give you a blue screen of death.
and
Some users have experienced a blue screen of death. Others have reported no problems
If you cannot figure out the difference between these two statements, then I'm afraid you're destined to make the same mistake again & end up banned.
Been here for 10 years
with a join date of Feb 2006?

The thread derailing needs to stop now - please get back on topic.

Mabe I should have been asked to correct it ? BUT instead I got personally attacked.

Yet, I get the infraction?
Thats bullshit.

You also spam and seem full of yourself, what's your point?

My point is.

I'm not gonna let a select few members bully me around like they do Keys and others just because they don't like what I post.

I'll post what I like, when I like and back it up with links and facts.

Not just come into a thread and shit on people with your "a troll" comments.

Now the mods do it too!
Mr Pizza called a me a marketing troll.
Unbelievable!
Very unbelievable, since I did not. -Admin DrPizza
