Catalyst 13.1 Out Now (New 13.2 Beta Links 3,4&5)

Yup, 12.4 had a crippling issue of it's own, making PCs hard-crash after the monitor went to sleep.

Let's hold onto our horses and wait until AMD posts 13.1 for download, like they said they would. Any time now...

Well it's a little annoying because I had removed the 7870 and packaged it all up for the RMA (put a spare 5670 in its place). In order to test it, I need to unpackage it, and if older or newer drivers don't solve it, I need to package it back up again...but it's worth at least waiting to see if artifacting is addressed in 13.1. I doubt it though; 13.1 is probably just a WHQL stamped 12.11 beta 11 with maybe a few tweaks.

Quick update, looks like the WHQL cert logs are coming back late today, so Catalyst 13.1 should be live tomorrow

I find it irritating that they said anything at all about new drivers coming only to post-pone. Don't say anything and just give them to us when they are ready

Arrgh >< 12.4 was the latest when I bought my card, I spent well over a month troubleshooting that hard crash during monitor sleep issue. Was about to start RMAing the CPU and [stuff] until 12.6 came out and magically fixed it.

Of course, 12.6 brought the artifacting for me too

With something as bad as artifacting at stock, it's probably hardware rather than software. I would RMA it anyway, especially since artifacting in WoW and CS:S is something that's not been reported to be a driver issue before. If you're running latest drivers (12.10/12.11), and it's still doing it, then I would send it back.
