We'll have to see how optimized it is. AMD might just be getting tired of hearing the constant, "They're late with drivers for new games" complaints.

It will be great though if they actually got game access early enough to have solid drivers now.

So they're going to continue to try and keep the 300 series optimizations separate from the 200 series now by only officially releasing the better optimized drivers for the fury/300 series and having separate drivers for 200 series and below GPUs?

What happened to using a single set of unified drivers that contained all the latest GCN optimizations for ALL GCN GPUs?

They'll probably combine them for the next driver. I assume the 300 series drivers might be experimental.

I'm hoping you're right and it's temporary and they're just doing it to make the 300 series shine in the reviews over the 200 series cards and we do get back to the single unified drivers once it's all said and done.

I don't wanna have to keep using modded/unsigned drivers all the time just to use the best up to date drivers on my 290s/7950s GPUs.

This driver is a must to play this game. In benchmark mode it increased my minimum framerate by 37%. In real gameplay, my bottom framerate almost doubled. There's still some slight stuttering, exacerbated when driving the Batmobile, but thanks to the higher framerate the new driver smoothed out the game.

And that was on default graphics options. With the new driver I can now turn up the settings a bit - even using the Gameworks features!

15.15 is the release driver for the new cards, including Fury. They're supposed to be coming with 15.20 WHQL that will be a unified driver.

Besides, they don't have to release two separate driver DL's to do what you are suggesting. They could do it with a single DL and keep it much more covert.

Yes and Yes cut scenes are the only things that goes over 30fps.

Weird...it didn't feel like 30fps locked and my eye is usually not of the peasant kind. Not to mention I had some tearing going on...so I figured it would go over 30 not only in the benchmark. (Because the benchmark went up all the way into the 50s...even on that peasant card of mine)

By the way, for the people having issues, I have an i7-3770k with 16 gig of RAM and a 290X in uber mode with the latest AMD beta driver (released yesterday), and the game runs like a champ for me.

That being said, of course I didn't enable the NVIDIA features in the graphics options.

Just wanted to share my experience.
