You cant install mmc 8.9 or higher with an nvidia card in. If however you have an ati card in you can.
GO buy an ATI video card install it. Install the MMC you want then go return your ATI card and put your NVidia card back in and you're done. Itll work just fine. The TV app only checks while installing. Nvidia cards display the tv fine. Yes I have done this so I know it works.

No big deal, just Driver Cleaner always finds some old ATi registry files even after the standard remove from Control Panel method and removes them,it`s also very easy to use .

Ive checked installing all three ways and there is 0 difference whatsoever. The driver installer takes care of everything. No need for driver cleaner or removing old drivers from control panel. I can have any catalysts installed and just click install on any newer or older version without a hitch.

I've done that already, didn't work. MMC just went screwy after I went back to the Nvidia card. ATI already got a "Customer Care" report from me.

I do know how to install drivers correctly. from about 3.8 up I have been getting ever decreasing stable overclocks.

disable antivirus
uninstall old control panel and do not restart
uninstall old display drivers, select all in uninstall screen, then restart

Ever since the 3.9's ... (If I remember correctly) the ATi uninstall has left nothing behind.

The DriverCleaner hasnt removed any files the ATi uninstall system hasnt removed already.
(except for the ATI unzip directory)

I still use DC, only for complete removal.
(for MMC and other DVD software)

On this install ,,, I went over the top install.

No problems.
And nice increased bench numbers.

I don't know if it's my new X800 Pro or the Cat 4.6's but the image quality in BF Vietnam has definitely improved. I used the same settings that I ran the 9800 Pro with and everything is incredibly sharp - much more so than before. I bumped it up to 1600x1200 last night and was absolutely floored. I can now run everything maxed in Far Cry at 1280x960 and the detail is amazing. It looked good before, but now I spend entirely too much time stopping to look at the details of everything in the game.

I just wanted that guy that was complaining about his FUBAR uninstall to know that the ATI uninstall works.

The DC works great.
(Even used it on my Nforce drivers once)

It's not wrong. I bought an ATI tv card. Ati put in a detector to block their updated drivers from installing if I have an Nvidia Graphics card.No reason for that other than to screw Nvidia users. Tyhe drivers still work with the Nvidia card as I proved(at least on my system).
The TV card did not have any requiremnt that I had to have an ATI graphics card on the box.
So I certainly would do the same thing over again if I had to. In other words F them they are not F ing me I am F ing them.
