You can't make me choose between those.
Each has its own delicious place. Ketchup (catsup for Ruby) is extremely versatile and goes well with a lot of things. It's my go-to condiment if nothing else is available.
Mustard is less versatile IMO, but can add more flavor depending on the type and food its being added to. A good, spicy mustard on some home-cooked bratwurst or knockwurst? SO. GOOD.
she's not...didn't you read the OP?
Mustard is okay.
Ketchup/catsup is revolting.
BBQ sauce FTW.
Mustard x elventybillion. there are so many types of mustard, and all of them go in the win column.
Everything I use mustard on, I also use ketchup on (eg: burgers). The same can't be said the other way around (eg: fries).
most BBQ sauce is catsup + liquid smoke + sugar.
at least that Sweet Baby Ray's crap
The best is catsup + mustard + sugar + other shit, which is why I must insist on a "both" option.most BBQ sauce is catsup + liquid smoke + sugar.
at least that Sweet Baby Ray's crap
there really isn't any food that needs catsup. where one assumes that catsup belongs, it can be vastly improved by replacing with one of many types of mustard.
1. sausages, brats, kielbasa, ect? catsup is an abomination.
2. fries? oh, come on....
3. hot dog/frankfurter? see #1; you also risk offending Clint Eastwood.
4. sandwiches of many types? no-brainer here.
5. frozen pizza? ...:hmm:
there really isn't any food that needs catsup.

You're crazy, ketchup is heavenly on brats...
Really though ketchup on mac & cheese is out of this world.
It makes my potatoes extra creamy.
My eggs divine.
My dearest ketchup what would I do without you on my cheese?
On hot dogs?
Emm even on macaroni and butter ketchup completes the taste.
You know who else puts ketchup on Brats, Mac & Cheese, Eggs, Hot Dogs?? Children. They have no development in their tastebuds either.
you can miss out on the delicious tastes.
