Cause of Homegroup breakdown?

I have 3 computers in my Homegroup, all running Win7 Pro. A week ago, the cptr I use lost connection with the Homegroup. I can see the other computers on Network on Win Explorer, but when I click on them, they want a User Name and Network Password, which I don't have.

I think I've discovered the cause of the problem: in Network and Sharing Center/Wireless Connection Status/Wireless Properties, under the Connection tab, I have Network Availability: Me Only . The other computers show Network Availability: All Users.

I cannot find out how to change this. Please help.

I suspect that computer that lost connection was the creator of the Homegroup. Viewing computers via the Win Explorer's Network is analogous to 'regular' file share. Homegroup simplifies creation of it. I unfortunately haven't used Win7's HomeGroup in a while, but on Win8/10. If the creator of the HomeGroup is gone, you basically have to set it up again. Perhaps if you get lucky if you just recreate on that one computer, you won't have to set it up again on the others.

My computer was the creator of the Homegroup. I really think that the problem is that my computer cannot see the other computers on the network. I'm sure that the basis of that is the Network availability: Me Only that I mentioned above. The other computers show Network Availability: All Users. When I try to access the other computers, Windows Security asks me for a Network user name and Password. I've never seen that before, and it goes back to the Me Only setting mentioned above. Does anyone know how to reset Network Availability? I'm sure that if I could reset it to All Users, my problem would be solved.

Thanks for the suggestions. I cancelled the wireless network I was on, then set up the same network as a new one. Still have the same problem: Me Only. I have another wireless n/w choice thru my router but the speed is not as good. Maybe try that one?
