Apparently you can pickup in-store because there's a choice under shipping address (during checkout) called "I'll pick this order up at a store. Help me select one."

anyone had experience with this brand? Is it any good? I have been looking for a cheaper mp3 cd player, but was just planning on picking up a decent panasonic or something for 60 bucks this summer. If this is any good i might as well save some money.

Any idea how long the battery life is? The biggest difference between no name brand and brand name cd players is battery life, sony and philips are the best with battery life last over 40 hours on some players.

I'm sorry if this is a lame question, but is this offer only valid online? Do they carry these in their B&M stores for the same price? I live close to a JC Penny's and might stop by on the way home if they have this in-store.

I'm not sure if this is the same model, but if you get one of these, definitely check it out asap.

They appear to be the same model that JCP was selling for ~$40, just before Christmas last year. I ordered 2 of these, to give to my teenage nieces. When I got them in the mail, I opened up one of the packages, to make sure that a cdr burned as a data disk (with mp3's) would play the songs, like my iRiver cd/mp3 player will. Luckily, it did so.

The problem with the units that I received, though, was that even at maximum volume, I could barely hear the music. I thought it might be a problem with playing the music off of a cdr, so popped that out and put in a brand new store bought music cd. Lo and behold, it had the same problem!!

Needless to say, I returned them to my local JCP store immediately, and they were happy to take them back when I told them what the problem was with the units (and yes, I did check the 2nd unit as well, before returning them). Unfortunately, since it was a multiple item order (more than just the 2 cd/mp3 players), they wouldn't return any of the shipping.

Hope this doesn't sound like a thread crap, but I wanted to pass this along, in case anyone else runs into this same problem.

the design is actually decent, and not plain/ugly like i'd expect a cheap mp3-cd player to be.
too bad i already own a NetMD player and can't stand large bulky discmans anymore.

Still shows as $19.99 for me so hopefully you can still get it for that price. . Didn't go through the entire process but it did allow me to add it to my cart and start to checkout.

As far as I can tell it isn't a repost. The only other thread I found about this was posted almost three hours after mine. If anyone knows about an earlier one please let me know.

The price will remain $19.99. Yesterday I had added one to my cart, then later on, I had forgotten about it, and added it again. The only difference when I went to checkout was the header, one said "Wednesday Deal, $19.99.......", and the other one just described the product but it was the same price.

Received this today, yes, there is a power outlet: DC 4.5V 700mA, ,and it recharges your batteries (takes 15hrs). It spins, reads, stop, every two minutes, likely battery life will be decent. Sound quality is so-so, I intend to use it in the car, sound quality is acceptable; random mode is very bad, same order.

NO, it is not a mini (8cm) CD player, someone thinks it is, it is actually a regular size one.

It is very good for the money, but I am still thinking of return...

I got mine today and the volume control doesn't work. It has low volume right now and doesn't change at all when turned up or down. Also, the lcd display is hard to see looking straight down at it. I need to look at a steep angle to read it. Looks like it's going back.
