anybody know how to copy Quake 3? I hear the copy protection's unbreakable, or something else keeps you from copying it

I'm led to believe that, as long as your writer is fully supported, Clone CD can copy any disc.

To save wasting CD-R discs on dud copies, why not try using a CDRW?

Anyhow, Clone CD comes with default settings which aren't ideal. Try the following settings.

Enable:
Read Subcode from data tracks
and
Read Subcode from audio tracks

Disable:
Fast Error skip
and
Intelligent bad sector scanner

Swordman i tried to backup the diablo, but it seems, the clonecd is not working What os are you using? This may not be your problem but I had a neat thing go wrong with Diablo. In Win98 I couldn't get it to read the CD. I found on the forums that if you take the cdfs.vxd from win95 and replace the one in win98 It worked perfectly. Not sure why and dont care if it works. Hope this helps someone out.

CloneCD copies Diablo II with no problems.

You need a drive that can read audio and data track subcode data. My Toshiba DVD-ROM drives do so just fine (SD-M1212 and SD-M1201).

I burned the Diablo Play CD using a Plextor 12x4x32x SCSI CD-RW. I have never used the master Play disc to play Diablo. The other two discs, Install and Cinematics, were copied fine from Adaptec's Easy CD Creator.

Unreal Tournament uses SafeDisc protection. You need a drive that can read and write errors. Again, my Toshiba drives can read errors just fine (takes about 15 minutes to image UT), and the Mitsumi CR-4802TE I used to write my backup disc writes errors just fine.

It all comes down to what your software and hardware can do. For backing up my games, CloneCD's not let me down yet. http://www.elaborate-bytes.com is their main site. Check the hardware requirements for CloneCD to see what is compatible.

Just my $0.02

What kind of games do you have? Most of my games (No not cheap crappy titles) doesn't have write protection...
