cd rom won't recognize software

My computer is recognizing my cd rom but when software is in it, it will not show.

I have a burner also and that is fine. I have tried to download drivers for it but that did not work.

Who manufactured your CD-ROM? Does it not read any CD's or only burned ones?

hmmmm may be this can help u! have u enable the dma on your cd rom?
