CD-RW Problem

I just installed a new Asus 4012A CD-RW drive. It reads burned and origional cds fine. When I try to burn it tells me to check the cd it maybe full. I've tried 3 different brands of CDRs. Even the one that came with the drive will not work. These are brand new CDRs fresh out of the case. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I'm using CloneCD software and Nero.
