Here's the problem....my sister has this old 486 and wants to upgrade to something a little faster so her daughter can play some games that require a pentium class system. So I have this old gutted Pentium 133 system sitting around and I decide to give it to her since I haven't used it since 1997, but since its gutted and have no spare parts sitting around I have to take all my sisters hardware out and put it into it. Everything was going fine until I installed her old Panasonic CD-rom. Whenever I hook up the cdrom to the secondary IDE cable it won't detect the Quantum hard drive that is on the primary, but when the cdrom is unhooked the hard drive is detected. What is going on here? I have the cdrom set to master... well at least i think it is, there is no diagram on the cdrom, but i have gone through every jumper setting that i can think of and nothing has helped. Anybody have any suggestions?
