Most of them.

To be specific:
Bam Margera proves that being a dipshit asshole and getting money from MTV can make you famous. He should have Great White play at his house so he can DIAF.

Bam Margera has a great talent which is skateboarding. MTV liked his personality so they gave him a show.

He deserves to be famous because he has a great talent.

He's not even that good when it comes to pro skaters... mediocre at best. He's just really annoying and appeals to morons that like to see people break things

Im not dissagreeing with you, but to put him in the same category as someone like Paris Hilton is offensive to Bam. He actually has some resemblance of talent while Paris was born with a mouth.

That's talented enough in my book.

Seriously though, it's the reality show crowd. My wife loves those. I can't even be in the same room when she watches them. It's just gotten ridiculous. For example, Flavor Flav. He had his show. He rejected that 'New York' chick. Then he got another season and brought her back and rejected her AGAIN. Then she got her own show and rejected these two loser brothers. Then THEY got their own show. Seriously?!?

Haha yeah, VH1 is the king of reality dating shows now. First there was the whole series of spin-offs you mentioned, then there's an entirely separate series of spin-offs from the Bret Michaels/Rock of Love/Charm School/etc. line.

And then Bravo got in on the whole reality show deal with the Real Housewives of ______ series, along with that dating show one of the former housewives hosted (along with her ex). I'm honestly surprised that there isn't a dating show about Padma from Top Chef...I mean, isn't she recently divorced or something?

Ugh, I hate that guy. Not sure what possessed me to buy his book, but I did and threw it away (literally, right into the garbage) after about 4 chapters.

I read the whole thing. Then, I slapped the guy who lent it to me, cause that is just how I am.

Rosie O'donnell

Why? Her sitcom was incredibly groundbreaking. And it was 99% her baby from the start.

Edit: and it was said earlier (though Rosanne Barr)

Edit: Oh shit I equated Barr and O'Donell. My mistake sorry....

Anyone related to the arts or entertainment should not be a "celebrity" unless they do something else of importance. I wouldn't really be that excited to meet any singer, actor, or athlete. And I really don't care about anything in their personal lives.

I think a lot of people are just listing celebs they don't like, not so much those that shouldn't be famous. Not sure what the OP was looking for here, but I'd say reality stars and those like Paris Hilton fit the bill as they didn't get famous by any talent. Actors and sports stars however, regardless of if YOU don't care for them, got famous for decent reasons.

Just because you don't like Ben Stiller, Rosie O'Donnell, etc doesn't mean a bunch of other people didn't. They at least have reasons for their fame.

Wouldn't doing something else of importance count as their personal lives? If you don't care about their personal lives, then you don't care if they do something else of importance. Pretty contradictory here.

If you lend me a book about how a person can be as horrible and self centered as possible, then that's a smackin'.

I think he means curing cancer, negotiating peace in the Middle East, or something along those lines.

Who should be a celebrity then?

I figured, but that still counts as personal life right? It does in my mind at least... ah well.

How do you feel about what Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have done TallBill? Just curious if that's good enough to warrant their fame for you.
