I got a new Celeron 566 and can't seem to get it to work with my P2B (rev 1.02) and MSI 6905 Master (v2.3) combination. I (obviously) want to overclock the processor but I can't even get it to work at 566mhz. I've set every jumper on the slocket and motherboard to the correct settings and I still am left with no video. Everything else powers up fine with the exception of the CPU fan (which runs off of the motherboard's header and I've confirmed works if power is applied to it). The Asus P2B has the latest BIOS revision (1012).
Could someone who has this combination (or one close to it) tell me what settings you're using? I have the slocket set to automatically detect FSB (I've tried "Virtually set to 100Mhz", CPU Define on jumpers 1 and 4 (I've tried 100Mhz), Single processor (again, I've tried Coppermine 256K), and I have the voltage set to 1.70v (I've also tried setting it to Auto). The motherboard has been set to both 66 and 100mhz FSBs along with every possible multiplier (even though it shouldn't matter). I'm currently posting this from the orignal configuration: Celeron 300A@450.
Any ideas? Or is it possible I have a fried CPU. The behavior of the computer with the new processor plugged in is identical to its behavior when no processor is present.
