celeron 633 on soyo 6bva +III help urgent!!!!!!!!

i have a celery 566 @850 on a soyo 6bva +III mobo.. it's running fine at 1.85v.. i got a celery 633 with the hopes of getting to 950..
only prob is i can't get the board to boot with the chip.
i started at 100mhz bus and got nada so i tried setting it to 66mhz bus and the chip still wouldn't boot!!!!... i have a msi slocket 5090 i think is the model number.. could it be that the slocket is not compatable with the 633 but is compatable with the 533???
what else could be the prob? could i have a faulty chip?
could my mobo not support a multiplier that high (9.5)???
need help badly peeps..

it's flashed with the latest bios as well.

huge problem man, but anyways
clear the cmos and set all jumpers to their default values and make sure the slocket is seated properly

if that dont work id sat the chip or the mobo is faulty, might be time to rma

mobo is fine cuz when i put the 566 @ 850 in it works fine...
i cleared the cmos and flashed the bios and still nada.. i'ma take the chip back to the store and see if they can test it for me..

any other ideas in the meantime?

well if all you change is the chip and it doesnt work then id say its a faulty chip, i dont have any other ideas

is it possible that the mobo's can support a 566 and not a 633???

You did not state how you set the multiplier on your mobo.

If its a jumperless design check for a BIOS upgrade.

it's jumperless and i upgraded the bios..
is it possible that this mobo does not have a 9.5 multiplier? but how can that be possible when the multiplier is locked on the celeron chips? shouldn't it automatically set the multiplier?
