The C-M@2.35(13x180) is running at 43c after running seti for 15 mins.
You can use any multiplier of 13 or below, and fsb of 100-400.
Since I'm still using the stock HSF and Vcore, I dont want to push it any further until I swap in my Hydrocool200ex.

Here's some preliminary benchies @ 2.35:
Sisoft Sandra 2005:
CPU Arithmetic ALU: 9605
CPU Arithmetic FPU: 3234/4171
CPU Multi-Media Integer: 22335
CPU Multi-Media Floating-Point: 24746
Memory ALU: 2529
Memory FPU: 2529

And here's the kicker:
SuperPI 1M: 39s (for comparison, my 2.8E@3.5 did it in 48s)
SuperPI 2M: 98s
Not too shabby

Using the current bios, I cannot change Vcore, so I'll see if the new beta one can fix that.
My goal is to hit 13x200 1:1 2-2-2-5.

Damn, that's nice! It's not an Athlon 64-killer, but just the principal of the thing . . . go Dothan go!

edit: Did some research and answered my questions about the motherboard you're using. Interesting . . . i855GME chipset? That one flew in under my radar. It's a shame there's still a limitation on the kind of RAM you can use(PC2700) that exists on the original i855.

I would imagine a dothan with dual channel and a higher fsb would be in place now.

That depends on whether or not it could benefit from the extra memory bandwidth and memory performance. Considering the huge l2 cache on Dothans, I have my doubts.

Until someone starts making more modern Pentium-M chipsets/motherboards for the desktop, we'll probably never know.

I'm stuck at 13x180 since I cannot raise Vcore in the bios.
I am already using the newest bios from AOpen, 1.01a(beta), and water-cooling it with Corsair Hydrocool 200ex.
Seti load temp is at 25c using water.
Any ideas what else I can do to either raise oc or vcore?

Just curious, but are there any apps like ClockGen that can be used to tweak vcore without support for that option in the BIOS? It doesn't looke like ClockGen works on the AOpen motherboard(just the DFI one), but at the same time, it would also seem that ClockGen can't tweak the vcore either.

Also, what kind of temperatures were you getting with the stock cooling at 13x180?

In the past we could always manually change the vcore with a wire trick underneath. I would search and see if the genious' out there have figured all of the pin configurations. By taking a strand of copper wiring you could possible fool it to read the defualt vcore as much higher then it is.

Is this a celeron??? The cache seems rather high for a celeron which is quite neutered...If so the days of the weak celeron versus the Duron or Sempron would have changed greatly...

Looks like he's running a Celeron-M based off the Dothan core. Standard Dothan cores have 2 MB l2 cache, so the Celeron-M version of Dothan must have 1 MB l2 cache. I wonder how the Dothan Celeron-M does vs the Banias Pentium-M at the same clock? Hmmmmm

Looks like the geniuses at Intel have provided a comprehensive pin layout for Dothan. Check page . . . 47 of the .pdf I have linked.

Aopen + 2GHz cost here 700e

Amd 3800+ and mobo round 850e

Dothan suits better to My livingroom anyways, more cooler and silent.

Holy Toledo, Batman!!! I was looking forward to this, but the cost of entry... ouch. Dunno about that DFI motherboard. I recall reading that it will use a proprietary heatsink mount, unlike the Aopen which can use any P4 HSF.
I wonder how the Dothan Celeron-M does vs the Banias Pentium-M at the same clock?
I've got a Banias Pentium M 1.3 in the notebook I'm typing this message on (in a Super8 Motel using their "free" broadband before I check out, LOL). rally1275, if you live somewhere in SoCal, perhaps we can hook up and satisfy everyone's curiosity. Two 1.3GHz chips with same cache, one Banias and one Dothan. Has that ever been done before?
