Celeron M 430 Vs. Sempron 3500+ Mobile

I'm looking possibly buying my wife a new hp dv2000 laptop and configured 2 models for about $625 each after discounts and rebates and tax. One is an AMD based with a Sempron 3500+ and Nvidia 6150 graphics card, while the other is an intel based Celeron M 430 with intel 950 GMP graphics.

Can anyone comment on which should have better battery life and which would run office applications better? Thanks.

I don't think Celeron M supports power management, whereas Sempron does, so it would probably be better for battery life. As far as performance goes they should be similar, especially for simple tasks like office work.

I am looking at the same thing. My thoughts are since the Sempron has power management then to go that way.

If you want battery life, go Sempron, since the Celery is stuck at stock voltage/clocks. You could always use NHC to undervolt it. (Never tried it, but it should work)
