onboard sound and vga leave somewhat to be desired. any external component is much better. my ancient sound card even sound better then cmedia, solo or ac97. compgeek is not exactly alway cheap well maybe once in a moonlight

Looks like a decent system for cheap.

I recommended a similar Geeks system for about $30 less to my Acupuncturist (633 HP system) to replace his aging Sony P200MX, last month.

It was supposed to come with 64 MB of RAM but had 128 instead and I added another 128MB. The only problem is the extreme lack of space inside the case for upgrading.

Of course, since there are 2 PCI cards open you could add a videocard solution and a Soundblaster Live for cheap (if you game). What do you expect for $250?

pintegrated motherboard, Pctel modem......hmm....sounds like an Emachine to me ... yes/no ? the Compgeeks deals on new dicontinued HP over the past weeks seemed a lot hotter.
