Cellphone booster (whole apartment) that works?

We just moved into an apartment that's pre-war and built kinda like a bomb shelter - we only get reception on the perimeter near the windows, but our living and dining rooms get zero reception. I called t-mobile and they're right in that it's not their fault and suggested a cell booster (they could not recommend a brand since they no longer carry one themselves).

Since there's no t-mobile femtocell and my iphone doesn't support wifi calling, what's a good tmobile compatible booster? My apartments not that huge (less than 1000 sq. ft, all on one floor) so I don't need something industrial strength.

I got one of these http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Exten.../dp/B003VOW5WI its for att bands though not tmo. Works just fine, but i wouldn't trust the coverage that they claim, signal gets weaker after every wall.

Cool! I'm thinking of this one just because I'm cheap (the wilson one is $60 more) - do you know if you can mount this anywhere other than the roof? My complex doesn't grant roof access.

Thanks!

Mount it where you have the strongest signal, normally that's on a roof but in your case maybe on the balcony or something, and ya make sure you get one that supports tmo bands.

You could also use an android phone with wifi calling. I have your problem right now with my nexus, I might have to switch to a GS4

Yeah, I'm kinda annoyed that the tmobile iPhone doesn't support wifi calling. Switching phones would be an expensive endeavor relatively soon into our contract (2 iphone 5 purchased about 6 months ago).

$300 ish seems silly (the wilson ones, which are supposed to work great), I may just try one of the asian ones I've seen on deal extreme

Try the T-Mobile Cel-fi. It was their signal booster. You can find it on ebay or craigslist for cheap. $100 or less.
