This is an incredible deal. Called once and CSR gave me grief and said the burner was like $129 and only a $20 instant rebate. He even did some checking and came back with the same price and tried to sell me the 48x for $10 more. Did not give credit card number and canceled the order. Called back about 1 hour later and CSR said that drive is $59. I ordered it and the 100 pack of the Kyphermedia cdr's (needed them anyway) for $25. Threw on the $15 off $50 OD web coupon. That puts them at my door on 9/5/02 for $74.54 b4 rebates. $74.54-$40 (Cendyne MIR)-$25 (Kyphermedia MIR) = $9.54 for a burner(hopefully it will be a Liteon)+100 cdr's. One word----SWEET.

Probably could have done even better, but did not want to push my luck. NOOB

Just got in on this one myself. I settled for the $15 off $50 coupon so it ends up being about $47 less $40 rebate...no complaints here. I think the CSR was actually going out of her way and said that it would be sent next day since the order was over $50 so it should be here on Thursday. I reconfirmed what the grand total was and she said $47.xx....sounds close enough to $50 for me.

Also, I gave her the product and she knew right off that I was trying to get it for $59.99 so it went pretty smoothly.

I called my local store today and held it for pickup. When i went to pick up . . . sooooooooo many people (not for the cdrw deal) back to school kids everywhere!

anyway, they did take their officemax ad and price matched it but the manager will not let me use a "competitors coupon" (the $20 off $50 OD) . . . only "competitors ad". I didn't want to argue with her because I dont know much about their policy and i can tell all the reps are pissed at how much customer they have there. Tommorrow is back to school here (San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles).

Well, I will end up getting the Cendyne 40x cdrw for about $25 after MIR which is not bad i guess since i'm still running on a Yamaha 4x

Bah, that's just idiotic. There policy is to accept competitors coupons. They know this, they're either very ignorant or just pulling your chain. Call up there corporate offices, ask them about this and they will tell you that "yes, we accept competitors coupons". Anyway, don't let them bs you, go back and give em hell!!!

this method of posting the "paper of a particular area" is not efficent and often results in bad links.

Just link the underlying JPG image file.
Hope someone can help, I had no luck finding the sale ad shown (tried many areas including Memphis, TN)

went to my local store at Norman, OK and grabbed one Polaroid BurnMax40 they listed for 99.99 - 60IR - 20 OD coupon - 30 MIR = -10, hehe... I did add a Belkin PCI NIC to bump the price to $50

too bad it's an infamous POLAROID but still I felt lucky today!

Ok, im feeling pretty decent about this deal. I spent a long time on hold, got a nice CSR, but had to work for the deal. She kept asking me where I saw it at that price and I just kept saying on their web page (since the deal wasnt for my area) She put me on hold like 3 times, and finally came back, giving me a cendyne for 99- 40$ instant 59.99$ and the 40$ rebate mail in. I tried to use OD coupon, but she said to verify a competitors coupon I had to fax her a copy.. so at this poin im looking at 23$ after MIR, which isnt bad. However, I would like to make this deal better, can someone PLEASE help me out on applying this coupon?

I hate OM, they really do suck. They refuse to take any coupons. One of them even told me that I cant use a web coupon, they dont take web coupons.. she was not very nice.


Secondly, I had ordered a desk I needed like a week ago, and they kept telling me that it would be in 9/3 I call up today, and the lady says "they shouldnt have told you 9/3, it is still on back order until the 15th" yuck

Whats the order #, the one at the top doesn't work. If you have the number for the Kryoptmedia or whatever it was too that would be great. The 800# number on the top was wrong too.

the 800 # is just fine, it is the same number that is on the office max website, I just checked. Its the one I used to order. Also, that is the part number I used, for a Cendyne burner, confirmed as cendyne when I ordered.


Ok, that said, will someone PLEASE answer this: Are all these Cendynes Lite-on rebadges? can I upgrade mine with a new firmware for 48X? Thanks

Wow am I an idiot! I was calling OD for the deal, and they were just like we dont have it I'm sorry. I even called them twice to make sure, they were trying to product # and everything! Then finally, the lady said did you see this in ours or OMs. I check, and well I am an idiot. Well I orderd it and used the 20 off 75 (after getting the 32x cdrs too). Just have to deal with all these cdrs and then sell my old plextor 12/10/32a.
