Office Max has at promotion going on in Sundays ad for the Cendyne 48x12x48 Internal CDRW Drive for $29.99 after MIR. Since OM matches competitors coupons you can use the Stapes $10 of 40 coupon that is floating around plus the Office Max $10 off 50 coupon (I got my OM $10 off 50 in the mail).

$89.99 - $30 IR - $30 MIR - $10 Staples Coupon - $10 OM Coupon = $9.99 !!!!

The $10 off 50 Office Max coupon might be a regional thing. I'm over in Raleigh/Durham, NC. The Office Max in my area has quite a few of the drives left.

I just sent off 3 Cendyn rebates. As a rule I never do rebates because I got burned last year on some memory by Kingston. I have the worst luck.

I haven't had any problems with Cendyne rebates from OM. I bought 2 drives already and I have gotten both rebates back (2x $30 MIR).

Its a popular rumor these days that Cendyne is going bankrupt and has been doing a bunch of rebates recently to get some cash and clear their inventory before they go under.

Good luck with matching competitors coupons at Office Max retail stores or online - I've had problems with both lately. Could just be bad luck in my case, but I fought all week with a CSR and gave her 3 different coupons before her manager would finally match one. And I had a lengthy argument with the local manager today over a coupon -- he told me several things:
1. They never match competitors coupons.
2. Coupons cannot be combined with rebate offers, special sales, etc.

He finally gave in and accepted the coupon (a valid one received in my name via Snail Mail), but he told me to never try bringing one of those in again. I was nice to him at the time, but I won't be visiting his store again based on his attitude.

OM B&M generally does *NOT* accept in competitors coupons and their website states that.
But, OM online *ALWAYS* accepts competitor coupons since that is their stated policy.

I just placed an order at OM using a Staples $20 off $100.
I phoned OM 1-800-283-7674 as I was placing the order. The lady said just place the order and read her the order # and she would apply the Staples $20 off. She did not even need a Staples coupon #.

Ouch.....that's my one complaint with Office Max - terribly slow at fulfilling rebates!

You can match a competitor coupon or submit an OM coupon but not both. If you could do what you propose, you could also submit coupons from 10 other competitors and get anything free! They will only allow one coupon.

BTW.. I've done a ton of these rebates and I always get them in a timely manner. I don't know what the deal is with your rebates on why they take so long. The Cendyne deals from Staples are the speediest. I wonder why because they use Rebateshq just like Office Max does.

Did you make photocopies of the UPC like you were supposed to? Do you have a phone? What's the problem?

With any rebates, make photocopies of everything or scan everything you submit.

I have done around 4 cendyne cd-rw rebates in the last 6 month and have gotten them all. They aren't the fastest but keep copies of everything and you should be ok.

How long did it take to get your rebates?

IMO OfficeMax would be the hardest to get your money from if Cendyne decides not to pay. When I had a reject Cendyne "only at OfficeMax" rebate because of dead line mistake on their part. I was told by OM CSR, that was a manufacture rebate and if enough people complained they would chang it. I had the rebate approved by rebatesHQ on a one time bases. That was back in Sept. I am still waiting for the check.

Check the status of your Cendyne rebate at www.rebateshq.com. While I didn't hve trouble with the 32x rebate, I did have trouble with the 48x rebates. First, they denied it for being purchases outside of the promotion date and the other they said I did multiple rebates. I got both cleared upa nd re-validated buy calling rebateshq and asking for a 'one time customer satisfation.' they read off cue cards when they respond to your questions.

What were the dates of purchase of your drives? And how long did it take to receive your rebates?

Yours may the first sucessful Cendyne rabate that I've seen.
