i just flashed my cendyne 32x bought from staples (was shown as a liteon drive in device manager). now the device is showing a 40125S, but the nero doesn't recognize it any more, the Nero asks me to choose recorder, the only option is "Image Recorder". Am I screwed? Thanks a lot!

Try reinstalling nero.
That's what I was thinking too. Although I do remember people commenting that the copy of Nero that came with these Cendyne drives weren't drive specific (they were able to use it with another burner in their system).Originally posted by: Electronics4Life
I haven't flashed my drive yet and I don't recall which store I got it from. Just one other thought, maybe your copy of nero was drive specific and now you have "technically" changed drives. Does Ez cd creator see your drive?

If your drive is identified as LTR-40125S, it's probably that CD media in the drive can only do 32x max. Just a thought.
