Center Channel won't work? *sound issue*

I own an Audigy Gamer running Windows XP, and have Logitech x-530's hooked up to it. For some reason my center channel isn't picking up any signal. I'm pretty sure the issue is with the card.

I have the same problem. Logitech x530 speakers, I just got them home and hooked them up and the center channel dont work. I have them plugged into the 6-channel inputs on my Asus k8v mb onboard sound and have windows xp set up for 5.1 sound.

I am stumped...

I switched the cables and it works .....so it is not the speaker. It must be the output jack or the setup in windows or the "soundmax" config with the onboard sound. There are 3 jacks for speakers: 1 for front, 1 for rear, and 1 for center/sub. I unplugged and plugged back in. Sound settings in control panel is set to 5.1 surround.

I just dont know. I dont want to buy a separate sound card if I dont have to.

What program are you guys running your sound through? You DO realize that stuff like winamp, basic media sounds, and the like aren't 5.1 sources, and thus the center channel won't play? Also, most dvd player software that comes free with drives won't allow 5.1 playback.

I'd be willing to bet money that your soundcard is fine, and your problem is that nothing you're using is 5.1 compatable for output.

agreed, try to downmix it to two channels and see if the center channel has sound............or boot up doom 3
