Centrino losing wireless capability

I posted a topic earlier (Here) asking about Centrino Slowdown problems. Since I now know it is not a slowdown issue per se, I thought I'd ask again.

My work computer is a IBM Thinkpad T42. It has a 1.7 GHz Pentium M processor, with built-in wireless. At home, the computer will randomly just disconnect from the wireless network. If iTunes is running at the time, the music will start stuttering shortly thereafter. Resetting the computer will solve the problem temporarily, but it will start again in due time.

This NEVER happens at work, where the computer is hooked up to a docking station. I have iTunes playing constantly and have played it for hours at a time with absolutely no stuttering. But it does happen at home, whether I'm plugged in or running from the battery.

1) Does anyone know what the problem is? And a possible solution?
2) Do other brands of notebooks suffer from the same problem? (I'm thinking of buying a notebook for home, but obviously this problem concerns me).

Got the latest firmware for your wireless router?

I don't think it's a router problem. I think it's a laptop problem (because iTunes is affected as well as the network connection). But yes, I have updated the firmware for the router.

I had the same problem w/o the iTunes. Notebook would drop the connection. The problem was letting intel adapter configure my connection. I switched it to let windows configure my wireless connection. It's working now.
