The problem was the finance company they were using. That company would approve everyone, take the 10% down, and then ran. If you read each complaint carefully (it's worth it, take the time to read through them), the problems were with those choosing the financing. AI Computers has since cut ties with that company and has even set up a restitution fund for those cheated.
Right now, there is no financing available, it's all credit cards. The consumer is protected with a credit card purchase. If you don't get your product, a 5-10 minute call to your card company negates that charge. Pretty straight forward.
We have been proactive in our approach with them. We've stayed in constant contact throughout the last few months, and their performance has been great. They had some deals on Zalman heatsinks, Kingston memory, Seagate drives, and some systems. Though there a couple minor ordering issues (someone was missing the free t-shirt, someone else some thumbscrews), they were all fixed very quickly.
Systems take about 8-10 days to build. Honestly, if you're not comfortable ordering, skip the deal. It's not worth sweating two weeks over a deal. If you are confident in your credit card and in the work we've done to follow up on deals we've posted for them in the past months, it is a pretty sweet deal.
