www.aicomputers.com is having a 50% off coupon which you can get by google. The A.I 375 can be scored for $772.50.

It has:
1.4G Pentium-M
15.4 WXGA Screen and more

Who has this baby and please comment on it because their site doesn't have much specs. Looks hot to me!

The site is a scam. Read the reviews at Reseller Ratings. They used to operate under aipcs.com. New name, same scam from the looks of it!

I'd read this before doing business with them http://www.bbbnewyork.org/businessreports/Default.aspx?id=73780 , especially the following:

"Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau."

"No Response- The Company has failed to respond to complaints 108" (last 12 mo)

"This firm also does business under the following names. This is not necessarily a complete list.

aicomputers.com

Artificial Intelligence, Inc."

The reviews are fake. Read up on the comments posted on their multiple reseller ratings profile.

Someone needs to inform Apex of the company he's keeping on his deal site. Pitching someone with such a horrible rep is not good for Apex.

I already contacted Apex yesterday morning (the initial day they posted this deal). They claim to have a good working relationship with this company and that the negative reviews are based on a problem they had with another billing company. And it's my understanding that this place does not take AMEX, so you're stuck with either MC or Visa. Eh, it's your risk.

I read every single review for this company and it wasn't a billing problem, BUT A SCAM. These guys would approve anyone and request a 10% down payment plus a processing fee. Once you give them the 10% downpayment, they DO NOTHING. If you keep on emailing them, they threaten you with legal action LOL. If you enjoy being sodomized, then by all means, buy from this company.

Thanks to Computer Gaming World's article on them, I didn't bite and I sincerely hope others doubted the computer offerings. What a scam!

Nobody picked up the phone when I called them in the morning, now it's been busy for the past couple hours. Kinda fishy if you ask me.

I don't understand that kind of scam we are dealing with. Do they ship items once they charge your CC?
If they do ship product then that means they don't scam but just bad customer service. The note is pretty good deal to me.

I highly doubt they'll ship anything, probably gonna get a couple thousand orders, charge the cards and run off to mexico. I mean, think about it. It seems to be a really small company - heck, they don't even have any answering machines. At those prices, they'll be flooded with orders. Do you really expect them to build and ship 1000+ conputers in a week? They're not Dell, you know

Guys, stop and think about this for a moment.

You know how cutthroat the computer market is, and how slim the margins. Do you really think they can afford to give 50% off of their list price for a laptop, a Centrino one at that?

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

If anyone's rich and has a safe one-time-use CC number, try buying under this deal and let us know what happened. I'll bet you'll get scammed.

The problem was the finance company they were using. That company would approve everyone, take the 10% down, and then ran. If you read each complaint carefully (it's worth it, take the time to read through them), the problems were with those choosing the financing. AI Computers has since cut ties with that company and has even set up a restitution fund for those cheated.

Right now, there is no financing available, it's all credit cards. The consumer is protected with a credit card purchase. If you don't get your product, a 5-10 minute call to your card company negates that charge. Pretty straight forward.

We have been proactive in our approach with them. We've stayed in constant contact throughout the last few months, and their performance has been great. They had some deals on Zalman heatsinks, Kingston memory, Seagate drives, and some systems. Though there a couple minor ordering issues (someone was missing the free t-shirt, someone else some thumbscrews), they were all fixed very quickly.

Systems take about 8-10 days to build. Honestly, if you're not comfortable ordering, skip the deal. It's not worth sweating two weeks over a deal. If you are confident in your credit card and in the work we've done to follow up on deals we've posted for them in the past months, it is a pretty sweet deal.

Thank Apex for the info. So I just want to ask if anyone got this laptop and some hand on experience. This is the lowest Centrino I can find.

Apex: you seem to be really confident about aipcs, despite all the less-than-stellar information that's available about them. Would you be willing to take the heat if mr ballas takes our money and runs?

Yes. I do spend loads of time researching the companies and deals we post, because I owe it to my viewers. I believe that is my responsibility. Plain and simple.

If this deal falls through, and you made an honest effort to dispute the charge with your credit card, but your credit card will not credit you against the fraud, I will personally pay for your charge, as long as you ordered through our links on gotapex.

My word is good.
