x86 was eclipsed by ARM long ago in sheer usage. There are over a million apps in the App store. I have no idea how many apps are on the Play store, but probably a million give or take. x86 may be the powerhouse king when it comes to all-out performance, but ARM has a stranglehold on the mobile market and even if x86 makes dents, ARM isn't going anywhere. In fact, the only reason x86 can be touted as being "better" is simply because of Intel's lead in processing. x86, when compared to similar process nodes, is inferior in performance per watt.

Get used to it.

x86 servers are not going to be replaced overnight.

First, ARM's supposed superior efficiency is a myth. Second, comparing similar processes is completely silly, because ARM will never be at process parity with Intel (or at least in the next 5+ years).

I'm just hoping AMD can produce to match demand if these are as good some benchmarks show... (ahem. R9 280 and R9 280X, I'm looking at you. I wanted an upgrade this year!)

Those cards are easily obtainable and in stock in 95% of the world at MSRP prices.

Did you notice that the A8 with much better GFX than SB
doesnt benefit at all from this alleged gpu influence..??.

Looking at the toms pcmark 7 benches (my previous post) it appears that an igp helps (that is why the scores with a 680 are lower than on simply the HD 4000). I would also hazard a guess that that is because the tests are small and fit onto the L3 cache on ivy. Intel also allows for the igp to access the L3 as a buffer while AMD does not (fairly sure but not 100% positive about this). Again it appears to be partly an architecture difference as well.

Im not sure how llano did in compute. llano on mobile was also pathetically slow.

Mullins nano PC, Tablet and Dockport.

Looks nice. Small device. Really nice for general use media. Hook up to a TV and forget about it.

But I'm looking for the headphone jack on the nanopc.

I also question the use of a win 8 device which is useless without the dockport. Why not simply make it bigger and put the ports on the device. The tablet also better have a headphone jack or USB on device, otherwise it fails as a windows 8 tablet.

(Also Fifa 14 is unimpressive, 1080p or not. a10-4600m drives fifa 14 maxed + 4x MSAA at 45 fps. On low 768p, HD 4000 can drive 200+ fps).

Dockport looks weird. One USB port? Must buy another and daisychain to get two USB ports or to DVI. Its like apple's nonsense with dongles everywhere.

The big dock would certainty be interesting if it could house a dgpu such as a 7750/7730. Its definitely large enough though it would probably be CPU limited.

If Mullins can provide A6-5200 performance in a tablet form factor (as AMD's PCMark numbers suggest), that's pretty freaking outstanding. I got a laptop with an A6-5200 for my girlfriend and it's very snappy for general internet multitasking. Haven't used it for anything too heavy, but it runs very cool and I've had no issues with it. Way way cooler than my SB mobile i5, and also a good bit cooler than my dad's IB mobile i3. I assume the ULV i3 models would run cooler, but at that point I wonder how much performance advantage the Intel models would have.

As an aside, I got the Kabini laptop on clearance for $200 (normally $330), so I got an astounding deal for the money.
