Chaintech VNF4 - performance / power supply

What power supply are you using with this board?

Are you using a 20 pin w/o an adapter? a 20 pin w/ adapter?, or a 24 pin .

I am using a 550W power supply from a company no longer in business (I cannot remember the name), which has 29 amps on the 12V rail, and a 24-pin connector built in. It works great, and I have had my VNF4 Ultra overclocked to 300HTT with MANY fans running, 3 optical drives, and 3 hard drives (one as spare storage, the other 2 in RAID 0).

I have an Antec 430W TruePower. It is 20 pin and I'm not using an adapter. I do have the 4 prong 12v Rail plugged into the motherboard. I have a 20pin to 24pin adapter ( http://www.newegg.com/app/View...tion=12-145-001&depa=0 ), but I heard of someone frying their Chaintech VNF4/ULTRA with one of these (not sure if it was this exact adapter or not). Power situation is just fine here even w/ a mild overclock 267MHz HT.

I have a Neopower, I love it! I highly recommend it! The only thing is that some people don't think the dual rail is effective, but I think it works just fine.

I e-mail Chaintech and they said you don't need a 24 pin adapter, as long as you have the 4pin plugged in. I need a pci-e card to get my computer up, but I just bought a $33 Rosewill 450w PSU from newegg with 22A on the +12v rail.

I'm using an Antec sl350 psu without the adapter(just plugged into the top 20 pins). It has 21a on +12v.
