Chaintech VNF4 physically unable to reach certain voltages!

I've been experimenting with my motherboard and whether I set the voltages in the bios or with ClockGen I can't seem to get ANY voltages between 1.45 and 1.6 V (exclusive). So my only voltage options that my motherboard can physically reach are 1.4, 1.45, 1.6, 1.65 (1.7? I haven't tested). Also, my CPU temps are VERY low consistently producing idle temps of 17-20 degrees Celsius on idle and 27-33 degrees Celsius on full load (Prime95).

Is my mobo fubared? Or is this a current known motherboard limitation? Your help would be appreciated!

What is your PSU? I'm sure other users of this board will come and share their experience, but I would think that's the first place to look.

I'm using a brand spanking new Neopower 480 W PSU. I don't feel that it's being stressed, just 2 HDs and two CD/DVD drives and video card.

Not sure if it is the reason, but Chaintech is kind of the cheaper brand, so I wouldn't the best out of it.

Thanks for the input. I know Chaintech is a cheaper brand, but it should at least still be able to run as stated!

Have you contacted Chaintech? It doesnt sound like a hardware problem if you can have voltages below 1.45V and above 1.6V but not in between. Sounds like a BIOS or sofware issue. It is weird though.

No, I haven't had a chance to contact Chaintech yet. But if it were a bios problem, shouldn't a program like ClockGen be able to change the voltage?

But somehow I truly doubt that this would be an issue that many others have seen before, otherwise I think someone else would've brought it up earlier.

Contact Chaintech directly. They are FAR more likely to know the answer since they built the darn thing. Once you get the answer, please post it here so others can benefit from your new wisdom.

Very true. I'll try to contact them ASAP, unfortunately, I can't seem to find a number anywhere for them...

The Tech Support # in the U.S. is 510-656-3607. I've been able to call them and get a tech on the phone immediately.
