I don't think there is such a thing as the Nforce4 Ultra Value Edition.
There is only the Nforce4, Nforce4 Ultra, and Nforce4 SLI.
Whether or not a particular mobo supports one or two GbE is up to the Mobo MFG, and whether they include an additional ethernet chip or not. It has nothing to do with the Nforce chip.
One thing I notice is that this board does not have any 1394 support. I really like this board otherwise, but I think I want something with 1394 support.
Do any of you consider the lack of Firewire and problem? The only device I can think of every buying that might use 1394 would be a DV Camcorder, but I don't even have one of those yet. Actually, I think I might also get an external HDD for backups and most of those are firewire.
Anyhow, what are your overall thoughts on the lack of firewire? I think it's kinda cheesy not to offer it on an "Ultra" board, but that's just me.
Also, I see no reason (other than high demand) for the SLI Mobos to be over $150, and for the Ultra Mobos to be over $125. At those prices, they'd be pretty comparable to the NF3 and Intel boards. So, $119 to me seems reasonable for a board that is lacking the 1394 support.
