Which 7800 GTX should I get?

eVGA, XFX, VFG?

Previously I was asking if the eVGA KO was worth it for the extra money...
and I did a search and got nothing back. Until I realized in the search box, I mispelled a word and retried it and found my answer:

so since I know the answer now to the ORIGINAL post, I would like to know which 7800 GTX should I get?
since the r520 doesnt look to be realisitic until December.

Both XFX cards I used for clients machines to cut a few dollars ended up dying. One simply got replaced with a eVGA.

BFG, eVGA, LeadTek are all good brands. Stay away from XFX at ALL costs.

I got an XFX 6800GT back in January, and it was dead. RMA'ed it for another dead one, and the "new" one I had gotten was used and had dust and crap on it. I went through 4 cards before I got one that finally worked (the one I have now). Needless to say, I won't be buying XFX again any time soon. I'm personally gonna stick with BFG, as I had one of their cards (a GeForce FX 5700 Ultra) and had no bad things happen with it (except that it was too slow for me, but that's not their fault ).

That "fast" 7800 GT is also the noisest GT in existance. That would be a deal breaker for me, not like their horrble reputation and support isn't already.

Personally, I find my XFX to be very reliable.

BFG > XFX > eVGA for me.

If you wen't though4 cards and they all didn't work, it was either A. you are just lying, or B. it was your fault the cards didn't work. Cmon 4 cards, are you serious? My XFX 6800 GT is great and outclocks any other 6800 GT. I can get to 440 on the core. I dare you to show me another vendor who can do that without watercooling.

Agree totally, BFG is mostly overpriced.

I love my Leadtek (6800 though). Great O/Cer (stock cooling), but that depends on your card and everything else. I don't keep it O/C'd on a regular basis so I couldn't tell you how stable it was, but it was enough to get through 3DMark05. I hear just about any of the GTXs have some decent headroom for overclocking.
