Changing fan in Sparkle 350W PSU: Soldering?

I'm thinking about purchasing a Sparkle 350W PSU (the one that got the high praise over at THG), and in my quest for a quiet system, I would probably change the fan to a Panaflo or something similar. My question is, does the Sparkle unit use a pin connection for its fan, or would I have to cut the wires and solder to change it? Thanks in advance.

either way, you don't have to solder anything. when you cut the wire of the original fan, cut it at the fan, leave plenty of wire so you can convert it to a 4(or 2 pin) pin (molex) connector. then molex connector on new fan, and there you go.

edit: oh yea, I think I've seen a few PS fan mods where they just run the fan leads out of the PS casing and just connect it to the PS 4 pin connectors.

It is possible to hook your p/s fan up outside of the p/s or otherwise cut the connector off the existing connector leaving enough wire on both sides so you can wire up the new panaflo with wire connectors and a crimper and still be able to use the old fan in a different application.

i just put a panaflo in the fps250-60atv. the leads were soldered into a fan speed control circuit board.
