I am working on a my sisters computer. I have it hooked up to an older 15" monitor in my garage where I do that sort of stuff.
My problem is that once my computer gets to the point that windows is about to start (it never gets to the blue screen, winxp, but it does say loading windows) the monitor goes blank and I get the message to check my display settings. I have had this happen before, and I just connect the computer to another monitor and change the resolution to a lower one. Then connect it to the older monitor and it works fine. My question is "Is there any way to change the resolution while in startup so that I dont have to unhook , move, and then hook the system back up?"
