EDIT: Re-reading, it sounds ruder than I intended. The current situation with USB is just a mess. It's easy to get mixed up, and I probably don't know as much as I should. So, it is perfectly acceptable that not everyone gets the differences here, as it's not like the foundation made it easy.

Just looking at the title, I knew this was going to a train wreck of a post. I was not disappointed.

USB-C is the connector type, where USB 3.1 (or do you mean 3.0?) is the actual spec.

I was pleased to learn that some motherboards are compliant with USB-PD, so that's pretty cool.

Basically, you need to dive into your motherboard manual and see what kind of wattages or volt/amp info they have for the USB ports. When/if you find the one that you would need to plug into, you would then have to look at what the connector is, and then buy the appropriate cable to plug your phone in with.

I do really hope that this all becomes much simpler in a few years when everyone's finally upgraded and the spec settles down a bit, and the Type-C connector is standard.

Yes it sound very rude I don`t know why do you think that my post is a trainwreck, I provided all the spec I know.

Here is the link to manual of my mobo, I can`t find that information here:

http://asrock.nl/downloadsite/Manual/Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4.pdf

I only found this but I think that not important for this question:

1 x USB 3.1 Type-A Port (10 Gb/s) (Supports ESD Protection) • 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C Port (10 Gb/s) (Supports ESD Protection)

Will cable like this one be enough to see some speed increase in charging:

Basically usb c is describing the physical socket and usb 3.1 is describing whats happening through the socket.

How fast the phone will charge depends on what power the motherboard will output, what power the phone will accept, and any funky charging protocols that are going on.

USB 2 will charge your phone but at some horrible rate like 500ma, so USB 3.1 is certainly going to be faster even if the Z1 doesnt have quick cgarhe

OP, are you asking which will be faster to charge your phone (Both USB 3.1) Type C port or Type A, using adapted-MicroUSB cables from those ports on your motherboard?

That is, these two types of USB 3.1 port ^

If so, I'd say just get the cable types for both, and test to see if there's any big difference in charge time yourself.

Is there some reason you need to plug the phone into your PC to charge, rather than a wall charger?

I didn`t expect that from you, I quoted you just to say that your post is nery and unfounded.

And then you linked to your motherboard's manual and asked if specific cables were going to work.

With a phone that old, it's not going to matter. Both a USB 3.1 Type-A and a Type-C port will charge it at the same rate.

That was for other forum members, not you

I both used phone without charger, very good price.

I think I`ll buy cables for both of these ports and just test them, to see will be any difference. But for future option, when I buy some other newer phone I should see a big difference? What about that yellow port, that is named fast charging port (I will soon buy card reader and many card reader comes with that port) is it better than these two ports (Type A and C)?

The only way charging from a Type-C port can be faster is if a phone is sufficiently new to itself use a Type-C port, and to support USB Power Delivery 2.0 or later. That's not the case for your phone, so plugging it into a Type-C port won't behave any differently than a Type-A port.

As for "fast charging" ports, some devices include USB ports that support a higher than normal current. Usually these are 1 or 2.4 amps (5-12W). If your board has one, definitely give it a shot.
