Good question. I looked at RR but only 2 reviews, one good, one bad.
Here's a link to their order terms. Looks a little onerous with the possible 30% restocking fees, even for a canceled order.

Order Acceptance Policy

Your submission of an order and/or receipt of an order confirmation, automated or otherwise, does not signify our acceptance of such order. CM reserves the right to cancel any order that we deem necessary, at our sole discretion, regardless of the order status or whether you have received a confirmation of the order. We reserve the right to require additional information from you before accepting or processing any order.

All canceled or returned orders may be subject to a 30% restocking fee plus all shipping fees as CM may choose and/or see fit - the restocking fee also applies to all bare-bone, systems or custom systems

Price is somewhat reasonable since Epox is out of business as postmortemIA mentioned. But I do feel uncomfortable with the retailer, though.

Hmmnnn. Is it worth buying one or are the lack of future drivers and support not worth the savings??
I have had 3 previous Epox boards with some old AMD builds and liked the boards then...but that was a while ago.
Opinions?

You won't get any new BIOS, mobo makers don't make drivers.

EDIt. It seems that they have stolen check-out gif button from newegg

I just placed an order, for will call.

I will check the place out , and let you know if anything looks fishy?

I checked the map and it is in an industrial area near me, that has other Computer resellers near by.

So probably all is well, I will go on Monday. 7/9/07

Oh yeah before I forget,
Thanks for the great deal OP

this price for an AM2 motherboard can't be beat.

People on PC Perspective /AMDMB say that company even calls to confirm the order.

I'm interested in the AM2 board also but don't understand why there's no way to disable the onboard lan in the bios.

I ordered 2.
A EP-5P965+GLI and a EP-5LDA+GLI
There is a bios release for the EP965 here from March 7 07.
USA Epox site does not work for bios and drivers but the TW site is functional.

That's too bad about EpoX. I had an enthusiast level board that lastest me for years (sckt A)

Up until recently it had been my primary system. I'd have purchased EpoX again had they not bit the dust. Will anyone pick up the pieces?

Hmmm... 25$... That is really enticing seeing how I need to build a file server.

Epox used to make some killer boards (fast, stable). I always wished they would have made a high end enthusiast board like DFI. At least they were alot of bang for your buck.....

They also got bitten rather hard by the leaky caps that other manufacturers had problems with back in the day.

It seemed to last even as late as their nforce2 boards, as well as one of their 865 boards; I had a 4PDA2+ that I had bought new from them, it started displaying bluescreens at just before a year. I thought I might have had problems with a virus, I knew what the problem was once I took a look at it-Leaking, bulging capacitors.

NEVER AGAIN. :|

Oh, btw-They appear to have renamed themselves to Supox.

Probably means you're SOL if you've got an older Epox board though.

I found that review a bit late. Who knows. Maybe someone who knows what they're really doing might make this work. Ordered a e4300 to see what it does.

I wonder if the e2xxx series will work?
