All of the AM2 boards are OOS. These were some good prices. Too bad they don't have anymore.

Oh, btw-They appear to have renamed themselves to Supox.

Probably means you're SOL if you've got an older Epox board though.

My Epox 8rda mobo went bad (caps) after ~3 years of use and Epox repaired the board for free ~1 year ago. I only paid ~$6 to ship the mobo to Epox.

So I still like EPOX

Epox boards were rebadged fic boards if I'm not mistaken. FIC boards are still around

Epox is not out of business, although they are moving (or have) and had changes in staff and some staff formed another company - however they are taking calls and sales to the channel again.

Shipping for me was over $12. Makes this deal not so good. Think I will wait for the AM3 boards. If you need an AM2 system now, then this is a good deal. I am not in any rush. My 939 is still working good for me.

That is not so... (BCM actually) - and the staff that started a spin off company plans to use the same makers, as I'm sure the few who stayed and moved the warehouse (doing right now actually) - even the epox site is up and support emails and numbers.

Epox plans to keep boards and bare-bones, not sure on video cards at this point.

I have had 3 previous Epox boards with some old AMD builds and liked the boards then...but that was a while ago.
Opinions?

You won't get any new BIOS, mobo makers don't make drivers.

EDIt. It seems that they have stolen check-out gif button from newegg

That's one way to cut down on web design costs, also one reason I do not plan to order from them.

They are small shop, probably they have some markup on shipping, but they can't get volume deals with UPS/FedEx like newegg can.

...odd, 2 boards was only $10.95 to FL shipping - newegg was $11.34, not sure how you guys getting such high shipping... (Asus Striker boards - and they was few cents less on the price board too).

would say they are more of med. size (or larger small) shop, calling in over last few months there are good number of reps (have talked with 6 different) and they do have more than one place they ship out of... its nice having bit smaller place sometimes.

another great deal like the Epox is the MSI MS-1016 laptop bare-bone $399 & the MS-1013 $569.

They often get great deals from Epox, ViewEra, Asus and MSI, trouble is they don't put everything online, have to call for some items and they'll get you current pricing, most times its worth it and you actually can talk to live person, like others here, they do keep in touch with you, call you when the item ships, often checks to see you got the package ok after that.

Hi guys,

glad to see posts here at one our fav sites (anandtech) - I'm the CEO of Citrus Micro.com, I'll admit I don't get enough time to post and game for that matter anymore, happy to help though.

Citrus Micro.com - some of you actually know us - or of us, when AMD lauched the AMD Athlon (K7), some our engineer designed the world first and at the time by CRN (Computer Reseller News), it was the worlds fastest desktop and won system of the year over all the other guys big and small - of course we tied and repeated with the P4 too.

Since that time things changed, we no don't submit systems, we have special client base, we are still getting items up on our site, even though the roots of CM go way back (20 years ago) - our site is somewhat newer.

Some of you know your rep. (here are CM) or some of the reps. here as they are from Luiski International (Magitronic brand) which was wholesale supplier (like Ingram Micro/D & H etc...) - of course no longer around.

Myself, I was the lead engineer for the systems above, before then was the very last rep. for Luiski in the chi branch myself and still among it all did my own business.

I'll address as much of comments in this post as I can quickly here - yep we are a smaller size in staff (maybe few more than most think we are, sorry lets leave it at that - sure other sites would love to know this , we man the phones yet like the old days, try to make sure everyone has a clearly open channel to us - you can simply call just to say hi... we love that.

Returns/Fees, in our case as you can see we go after the price for you, often we can only exchange item or the manufacturer handles the warranty (how we get the deals for you) - restocking when we do, its 20%.

Shipping, NE is great at many things (of course we are better , yep even shipping, we tend to match and or beat them often here (shipping ground), of course their cost from UPS is much less I'm almost sure or certain - you can help us here though, if you by some reason have what really is high shipping, let us know, give us (help us) with that ammo so we can approach UPS and get this improved. Remember we ship most times from chicago and not CA like the egg, we do ship some from CA and FL (our current clients hit me there I'm sure)...

Example, real TX order we shipped was $10.59 (shipping charge) ground and that was with insurance from CM - NE for similar board in this case (boards this low cost (was $19.99 EP-5PLAI) is $7.52 with their 3 day special, thats $3.07 more in this case, post above as you see we actually was less - win some, lose some, none the less, $3 more shipping on $20 board that should be 2 to 3 times or more, still great deal or not? You tell us...

rr posts, glad to see that, my job here is to go after 100% happy shoppers, odd thing is I see this post, we have zero record of anyone wanting a refund at all in that time refund that was not handled completely - normally if we get some making comments, normally we tried little to hard - guess what I'm saying is, if someone (even though its just one client) is not happy, call us, if your just another company slamming us, well, sorry you have to do that I guess its one way to market.

Great prices, why???? Well post here is correct, we are loyal to epox and asus actually - so yes they really do give us great deals to pass on - not this good I'll be honest, we are taking a hit.

I have personally had contact within the last week or so with Epox, they are NOT gone, hurt yes, our goal is to get epox items moving and do what we can to keep them going well, yes old staff members formed another company, real reason if you search china news is high up staff in legal trouble was the reports at epox...

epox is or has moved, they plan to get going however have very limited staff and I'll admit, contact with us even has not been the best right now.

Drivers and support, epox.com still going so that is not a problem, and of course drivers really are better from nvidia or intel site anyways most often (other than bios and some tools of course).

Will client, wish I was in, would of loved to meet you - sorry I missed you, often I try myself to make contact even if its just for a bit - Paul is our Client Relations Manager who you worked with.

If I missed something, I'll edit this, of course try to reply if you have comments or questions - thanks guys for the posts and links to us, its you that make things happen at Citrus Micro.com and understand that and remember that every moment.

one of those edits now, website, actually we have no design costs at all - we use a shopping cart company right now, powerwebsites.com - they are great, check them out - so the only content we change is the item itself, we are not in control of the web templates and details like graphics etc... unless we buy new template of course.

We are looking into (started actually) our own design from the ground up, will not be CM.com, we are also in the R/C business and that will be the hottest prices and coolest site on the web for R/C - focus on CEN Racing products to start

(will be www.MyRCwarehouse.com - its NOT live right now, coming in July 2007!!!).

Actually many use powerwebsites graphics as they allow that, not saying thats the case here at all, we have seem companies with our stuff often, many times it could be because they have the same shopping cart I suppose.

Again, I'm not here to in any way slam any company or anything like that, NE (since see them name dropped) is great or at least was and is still good, of course we are better and what would you expect me to say any different, right? Can say there is a trend, seems they are about the only name that comes up when we do in posts, thats honor and thanks again for that...

I see we could use some posts at rr - for those who are getting these great deals, please remember us - and please, do comment to us, remember us when your looking for something no one else offers, we'll find it and get for you...

Regards,

Jim

Seems like a smokin deal. Most of these boards aren't going to support newer CPUs anyway, so I dunno that bios updates are going to make too much difference. I ordered a couple of the 775 boards, one to replace a current board I have that has an issue with layer separation, and one as a backup if I need it for an older system.

Shipping was about $13 to Denver, so paid right at $48 shipped for one of the $15 board and one of the $20 boards.

Always like Epox, it's a damned shame they had to go.

These deals must be super sweet for people making computers for living.

But, when I try to order (just for fun) 100 of any available boards:

Currently we have 1 unit left in stock. This item cannot be back ordered. Your quantity has been changed to the number of units available.

Don't want you to feel bad, but even those FREE ECS boards at Frys could hit 240 to 270MHz FSB without much tweaking. The semi-crippled $60 Abit IB9 is good up to about 360MHz FSB. That said, if you run the board at stock speed, then $30 + shipping would be a nice deal if there is at least 1 year warranty on the board.

I know this isn't the greatest.

I was just showing that the board isn't so bad. Considering the price. I was able to get 295FSB. For $60 shipped that is not shabby at all. It also comes with a ton of stuff. Copper heatsinks. Driverless IDE and it is a really nice looking board. For that price this is a steal. Shame they might not support this baord much.

I also needed to do the BIOS flash to get here. With a e4300 or a reg C2D this board may shine.

The purpose of tha post was more to how that the board worked and I did get my product.
