Colorcases.com selection

I'm sorry if this is a repost, I tried searching for "colorcases", "color cases", "cases", nothing really came up. I think the selection and prices are great, but I'm not sure of the quality (does anybody know?). I've been speculating on purchasing a case from them; seems like a good deal. The monthly special is an LED light kit for $9 with the purchase of a case from them. Seems like above-average cases for good prices. I just need some feedback, please.

The cases look nice, but i built a system with one of theirs once and not only did it feel flimsy, but parts would break off one by one fairly quickly.

Buyer Beware.

i bought a yuri case from them back in the day, and i loved it. eventually i outgrew it and had to get a full tower, but it was a beautiful aluminum with plastic case. i did have the plastic breaking off problem but i called them up and they sent me replacement parts immediately, no questions asked, no charge. their customer service is great.

Great prices, thanks for the link... what determines a great case from an average one?

Are they really slow on shipping or what?

I've bought the Kitty, Doggie & Penguin cases from them, they're cheap cases, but my kids get a big kick out of them

Am tempted to mod the heck out of one of them, make a "glowing evil black kitty" case

some of you just like the cases because they have windows on the side, if you're too lazy to get a kit and make a ghetto window yourself, get a case from colorcases.com

but definitely do your price comparison shopping; check accessmicro.com

Stay away from Colorcases.com. Their ResellerRatings are horrible, and most of it is true.

I was looking for a white (ie. snow, paper, egg shell, etc) case and emailed them before I placed my order. They assured me the case was white. Low and behold, I get my case and its far from white, more beige or grey. I immediately called them. took me 3 tries to get a human being. Guy had no clue what to do, so I can to start emailing. I explained my case and I was told that was their version of white. I argued for a while and finally broke down and got an RMA. I sent it back with all the proper forms and never recieved a credit. I sent 3 emails which to this day have gone unanswered. I disputed the charge and now my credit card company is investigating. I have proof they recieved the case, so its all on their hands...

I can also vouch for their poor service. I ordered a case that was on backorder but was supposed to be in within a couple weeks. After three months of hasseling them about my case I finally cancelled the order and bought the same case for about $5 more from another company and it arrived in 5 days. I posted on reseller ratings about how bad colorcases was and within a week they call me telling me that they have the case. I've read many stories that are very similar; just go to reseller ratings and see for yourself. They are a horrible company that shouldn't remain in business.

That is unfortunate, but i must note that you asked if they were "white" and they assured you they were white. Do you have any idea how many shades there are that people call "white"? (hold an egg next to a piece of paper, next to 'the white pages', next to anything you consider 'white' and see for yourself) There are as many variations on white as on any other color, and you busted their chops because what they said was white didn't match the shade you were thinking of? As to the matter of a credit, well that's another story, but the initial problem was entirely your fault, IMO.

I know my colors and can distinguish between white and different shades. I asked before I ordered if the case was "white" and was told it was "white" not "our version of white" or "a shade of white". The case I received was not white nor a shade of white, it was borderline beige/brown. I would have been happy with a shade of white such as eggshell, paper, snow, pearl and others. But I assure you, the color was no where near a true white...

Edit: If you want a better idea of the color, it was a little lighter than the fabric money is printed on. I don't know anyone who considers money "white"...
