Why not buydomains.com???? No nonsense. Gives you everything you need. Never had a problem. I'm all about price, but some things are worth it.

Priced from $16.00 per year, per domain... OR LESS
Includes: ALL registry fees
Unlimited email address forwarding
URL and frame forwarding
Domain parking
Full featured DNS

Hmm... so is it $16 a year or cheaper? If its $16 a year... then thats 2x the price of this site.

Stargate.com did me justice, only $8.88 for my new domain

Did anyone follow his link? The site says the price is $9.95 per year no matter how many domains you register and no matter how many years you prepay, unless you are only paying for one year and then it is $12.00.

I have used GoDaddy and am very happy with it.

Recently I discovered www.StargateInc.com though and I am wondering whether I should switch. They are just a tad cheaper than GoDaddy and you can do all the domain administration, page forwarding, etc. right from their site, rather than messing with setting up separate DNS service (yeah, it's not that hard, but it's more convenient to have all that stuff in one place). They even give you one free POP e-mail account! I see we have one vote for Stargate above. I would be interested in hearing if those who are using them are happy with them.

Bah, reg2c is still cheaper than all these places even though they charged me $7.12 when it's supposed to be $6.95. Oh well, it's only 17-cents!
I used mydomain.com to get free fowarding and all that stuff.
I didn't know anything about domains and such, but I didn't have any trouble setting this up. My domain works great so far. I haven't needed any customer support, but I can't imagine a scenario where it would be necessary.

Ive been using an all in one host -registration/dns/hosting/ecommerce. But time to renew is here and I'm
getting nervous about this. I have seen posts here where people thought the domain was in their name,
but it was REALLY in hosts name.
If I did a registration with godaddy, and used their DNS, would the extra hop add that much time in loading?

And while looking around, one place shows $49.95 mo (unlimited products) for UNIX server, and $69.95 for
Win 2K server. Why on Earth is Win 2K more expensive (seem to have same options). I thot UNIX was more
reliable.

Does anyone have any more information about Reg2C? Their one-year prices do appear to be the lowest, but they are not an ICANN-accredited registrar, their website has only been active for seven months, my browser has trouble loading their web pages (I have to hit the back button and then the forward button after loading each page on their site in order to get the page to show up), they appear to be based in Turkey, and the English on some of their web pages is not that good. Nothing against Turkish websites or bad English, it's just that overall they don't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling that my domains would be safe with them.

I'll recommend stargateinc. I have been using them for about 4 months now. Transfered my registration from another registrar. I'm just using their basic package (1 email, 1 web page) for now but my expand later.
