Cheap Dreamcast Games at Target

DC games only use CE when they are PC ports of games. Sega Rally 2 is one example, it came from the PC version that has been out. Most DC games do not use Windows CE because they are built from the ground up. CE only makes the transition from PC to DC a smoother conversion. Personally, I hate when it has Win CE in it, because you want games built from the ground up and are original. No way are games like Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Dead or Alive 2, Daytona USA, Win CE games. Therefore if Xbox relies on Win CE, most games would need Win CE encoded in them because they don't have them on the disc.

Great sale guys, remember you can pricematch. Why go to Target and instead go to Circuit City, BB, or EB to get a used shrinkwrapped copy.

In Round Rock Texas Target they had all the games in stock at 8:30 am. I picked up Jet Grind Radio, Tomb Raider Chronicles and Shenmue. Looked at Q3A but why bother when I have it on PC and can download new maps and updates for it and get better online play. Was going to try and price match but not worth the hassle because they did not have all the games.

Price matched with Best Buy and Circuit City with no problems. They didn't call to verify if these games were in stock (Target gives rainchecks anyway). Prices after 10% difference discount and before tax:

Didn't bother with Tomb Raider Chronicles and Royal Rumble.

Sega GT at Target in Lewisville, TX (just outside of Dallas) was 19.99 . I don't know about anywhere else though. It could be that they were trying to get rid of it (I got the last one there). After playing it for many hours yesterday, I have to say this is a GREAT game (if you have someone to play it with).

First Target I went to only had Shamu, so I went over to Circuit City to pick up Soul Reaver for $8. On a hunch, I asked the clerk if they price-matched and they said yes, if it was a print ad. So, I went to the truck and got the ad and PMed Jet Grind Radio and NBA2K1.

Other than being surprised that NBA2K1 was on sale, they didn't have any hassle. So, I got 4 DC games worth $175 for $68.

What's so surprising/rare about chicks playing DC games? I actually bought the DC for my bf back when the JCP deal was going on, and have since scored him about 15 or so games (including Shenmue, which really is awesome), all for $15 or less. We deathmatch and play individually, so I don't find it so strange that a female would enjoy playing console games. In fact, I recently had a bunch of my college girlfriends over, and we duked it out all night playing Soul Calibur.

Grabbed a DC at Best Buy on Saturday so I could get the $50 GC, (Grabbed Sonic and Crazy Taxi for $20 while I was at it) got Shenmue and Marvel vs. Capcom for $20 each at Target on Sunday. Gotta love the forums!

FYI supposedly Sega is going to make an announcement soon (this week) of the DC's price being dropped to $99. PSO also shipped too, be sure to check that one out.

Got in on these deals today, Target had Shenmue and Jet Grind, didn't have NBA 2K1 or Sega GT, these were the 4 I wanted, got the first 2 and went over to Toys r us and they had Sega GT so I pricematched it, the kid working there said they haven't had NBA2K1 since early December. Of interest to me was the fact that they had 4 PS2s on the shelf, he said they got 3 in this morning and at 6 they had 3 left. Wish I would have bought my DC 9/9/99 rather than waited until I did 2 weeks ago and instead waited for the PS2 price to drop before I bought it. Oh yeah I just can't get into this Shenmue, the game looks great but I just don't like being in a movie I guess, gonna have to trade it for something.

Don't think Target has them on sale anymore, though there are alot more dc games deals coming in the short future
