Anyone have any problems with generic Ink clogging up their printers nozzles?
I have used one of those "refill in a bottle" type of ink refills that you transfer with a syringe, and although it seemed to work ok for the first refill, after refilling the second time...one of the nozzles clogged up completely a week or so later (the black nozzle). I then bought a brand new 'official' Epson black ink cart hoping that would fix it, but it was a waste, nozzle still clogged. (I guess inkjet nozzle/printhead is separate from the cart).
I was wondering, what the heck do they put in these generic carts (and refills) that make them clog nozzles...some sort of ink dye powder and some tap water? lol. How do you tell the difference in Ink quality of the various generic injet carts.
Anyhow, my epson 600 is dead, but thanks to AndTch member Athena I replaced it with the Epson 880 at a great price. woohoo!
So I am a bit wary of using generic carts on my new 880. Anyone have any links for great deals on official carts? And perhaps a 'How-To' article on unclogging an epson inkjet nozzle?
