I got burned by AMEX in just that way! Becareful with AMEX! My Mastercard was much better. This is coming from a Cyberrebate success story.

EXCELLENT find on that carts! I will certainly use these guys when my megatoners.com supply runs out.

Got my 4 ink cartridges in today (for an Epson 777). Ordered them 9/02. Expiration date on all of them: 5/05. Did not try to get me to pay for the postage either. Rainbow on the boxes.

Definitely worth my $11.

I just received my order, I could not be happier I saved about $200 on a $16 order.

There is $2.65 postage due and I am glad to pay it.

I got charged for shipping too, and I tracked down why:

These people are shipping our ink cartridges via Media Mail, which is reserved for books, CD's, and other specific forms of media. Ink cartridges are not eligible for Media Mail, and when the Post Office figures out what's going on, they charge the difference between media mail and regular mail to recieve the shipment. I suspect that if this is still going on it's a little more than a few "mis-shipped" orders. Just an FYI, as some people may not want to be charged for shipping, and others may not want to risk having their cartridges tied up in the mail as a result of this company's shady practices.

Monsterinjet sucks...it took them almost 4 weeks to get my order and they shipped the wrong ink. Ibought C82 color and blacks, they shipped me color for the C80 which does not work wiht my printer.

I followed the thread for a week and then ordered some cartridges. Ordered some for an Epson 785EPX tht I hadn't used for several months with empty cartridges. Once installed, it took several cleaning cycles before everything was working but I'm sure that's due to a dried out printhead. After that they seemd to work fine. The others I ordered were for one of my kids at college who has a low end Canon. She hasn't used the MonsterInkjets yet.

I got them about one week after ordering. They were the rainbows all dated for June 2005. So far I have no complaints and frankly for the price, unless they completely ruin a printer, it's going to be hard to complain. I haven't tried any photos yet with the Epson but I'll let you know.
They seem to be a great savings for most types of printing.

I got charged for shipping, too, for the same reason mriches said-they were shipped media mail rate. Someone blacked out media with a magic marker, I assume the post office.

I ordered mine a week after the first wave & the first wave of complaints about being charged for shipping. I do not think this is an innocent mistake on their part-it looks like they are trying to cheat the postal service on shipping expenses and the customer ends up footing the bill. Plus its a PIA to have to go pick up your package at the post office.

Woa finally got ink... my C82 been sitting without ink for 2 months, dont wanna spend $60 for ink when I paid $60 for the printer! Its a matter of principle.

I emailed them about my extra postage charge and they said they would send me a check for $5 to cover the cost of the postage I was due and then some, I emailed back and told them I only wanted the actual postage, no need to send me anything extra, ....that was a month ago....still no check!!

May be you need to edit you old post again to say how bad they are. I would rather order from Megatoner toner for a little bit more than dealing with the hassle and waiting.

Hey, I wouldn't care about having to pay the xtra postage fee, or even having to go to the P.O. it's right around the corner from me. The thing I am ticked off about Monster Inkjet is that I read in a post where they had GREAT Customer Service. I (in the minority unlike most customers) got ink cartridges with short expiration dates. I emailed MIJ, and instead of getting a friendly response, was just told that they (only one guy, I guess he refers to his business as THEY to make it sound bigger or more sophisiticated... ) have no control over expiration dates. I say BS, the guy takeing the orders is the same guy, (or his wife or kids) that packs/ships the orders. He could have done something other then send me a "standard" response, after I had to email him twice for a response. True this guy has great prices, but unless he adds service and employees, I know he won't stay in business long.

On 9/18 my order had a tracking number from usps (the old electronic notice from the web page form being submitted) but as of today 9/30 no delivery (ie they never really shipped). I did get an email from "katie" saying she is taking over shipping to fix problems, but still no ink.

My order arrived today, placed on 9/5, packed in a padded envelope and shipped media rate, but I had no postage due.

Small rainbow symbol on box, but otherwise no manufacture id of any kind, made in china, totally generic.

Somebody please report soon on how well this ink works for them, as I won't need to change carts for a few weeks yet.

finally got my inks today, took over a week. Also they forgot to send a catridge, i ordered 6 and they only sent 5, hopefully they will replace it or give a refund. I emailed them 2 days ago and no reply so hopefully this will get resolved.

Fwiw: I have a canon bjc6000 that over its life has had like 3-4 canon blacks in it. I put in a monster inkjet cartidge and now I'm getting an error beeped out that means replace printhead. This error started after printing say 15 pages on a monster inkjet cartridge. I thought it would be a decent gamble, but the odds weren't as good as I thought I guess.
