I feel sorry for people who bought HPs and do any amount of printing. It's criminal.

That's pretty much why I haven't ordered from Megatoners. Too many people have reported their cartridges clogging up their print heads. After all, Megatoners is just buying on the wholesale market the cheapest cartridges available. As others have experienced, what you get today may not be the same as what you get next month.

There seems to be two main "brands" of aftermarket cartridges that are more trusted...USA Inkjets (Made in USA) and Nectron (Made in China). I guess when there is a brand associated with the cartridges, the manufacturers care a little more about maintaining quality.

To the guys that are familiar with this site - Are these guys always this cheap? (regular price $18, sale price $5.50). I want to get some Epson 1280 carts. Would like to just order one color and one black and do a comparison test with Epson's own before I do a bulk order.

Thanks in advance

DMCA or YMCA I will never buy another printer from a manufacturer that puts a chip or some other device in his printer to keep us from using generics. The company who does this kind of stuff will learn when nobody buys their product. HP and Lexmark were once on top-now look at them-Canon and Epson are killing them.

Just had to get that out-since I use to own a lexmark before. Wasted sooo much time looking for cheaper carts.

Although this is paticularly low ($1.88 for a cart that normally costs me $2.50) I don't think I have ever seen the carts go to even $5 and even if they did I would just wait until their next big sell

so what are people's experiences with these generics?

the worst that happens is clogging? all that means is you have to run the cleaning utility a few times right? nothing more dangerous to the printer?

Gee, SilviaK, by your reasoning, no 3rd party parts can ever be valid for anything.

Seems to me you're either misguided or a corp shill.

What on earth are you talking about? If I invent something for X product, and you go out and rip off my "PATENTED" idea I would have lawyers on you like fly's to ****

I'm sorry but HP and Lexmark do have patented technology in each of their cartridges, is this an intelligent thing to do? NO, obviously it's quite wasteful (metal and plastic that need to be recycled,) it no longer gives any advantage in pront quality (ie Epson is kicking *** in the PQ department w/o having integrated anything into their carts,) and most importantly it cost's almost 25x the price to the end user (ie 1.88 for epson black cart while my old HP black cart ran 25.00.)

I love 3rd party stuff, I just got a new 3rd party faceplate for my mom's cellphone, and I buy epson 3rd party cartridges on a regular basis. Before you try and post something use your head and think it though also you might want to reread exactly what it was that I posted earlier.

It's useless even to ask. I have seen answers ranging from an: "explosion where the immediate area had to be roped off and decontaminated - and even then, not fit for human habitation for years,"

to:

"they worked perfectly, every time and every generic ink I have ever tried is perfect, and the photos are flawless."

Of course, I am just kidding, but you get the idea.

The last batch I got from them were the rainbow ones. My most recent order, the carts says G&G and the upper part of the box is blue, the lower part is fuscia.

I've been using megatoners ink carts with my epson since I used up the ink that came with the printer. No clogs or any other problems so far.

I bought some cartridges for my Epson 880 a month ago. The color cartridges are grey in a yellow box A100 Brand.
The B&W are also grey ,in a blue and red box G&G brand.

Cheap, High Quality Ink for HP Printers:

Nutcase99 and maxSe,

In my opinion, InkSell.Com, is a very good source of very high quality inks for HP, Epson, Canon, and Lexmark printers.

I have the following that I refill using inks purchased from InkSell:

3 HP DeskJet 710 printers
1 HP DeskJet 950 printer
1 HP Color Copier 290

I refill the cartridges myself - - its easy and I bet that I pay less than 10% of what it would cost to purchase new or refilled cartridges.

I have probably refilled about 200 times! I believe that I have saved close to $5,000. These printers are heavily used for a small business.

I wish I knew about this site sooner. I just bought 8 carts for my Canon S750 3 days ago from another site for around 4.75 a pop. Here they are about half that. Still way better than paying 14 a pop in a retail store.

No. It is more serious than that. The you can't clearn the head without a cleaning cartridge or Epson original cartridge.

Yeah, I'm really skeptical about the quality of these cartridges. I have an Epson Stylus Photo 820 and I don't want it clogging up my print heads.

Are the print quality of these cartridges any good? Yeah, they're cheap, but usually you get what you pay for.

nothing for my xerox m750

I got stuff for my xerox m950 here:
http://www.inksell.com/
They have this mega pack that has 5 black cartridges and 2 of each color (for a total of 11 cartridges) for like $90 (normal price is $13 for black and $8 per color). Speaking of which, I need to order that pack again, its about used up. So far I'm happy with it, no problems yet. Ink quality seems normal to me. I researched a number of places, and inksell seemed to be the best deal in terms of what you get and the shipping ($4.95 for fedex 2 day, flat fee) for the xerox stuff that I needed. Some of the other places had it slightly cheaper but more expensive shipping, or whatever. They sent me half a dozen coupons to give to friends for 10% off or free shipping or something, so if anyone is going to order from that company PM me and lemme know. I haven't compared to megatoners because megatoners doesnt have the xerox stuff I need, so megatoners may be cheaper I dunno. Probably be a good idea to check both before you order.

Edit: Forgot to mention that inksell has a guarantee. If you aren't happy with the ink you can return it. Note that they will accept only 1 used ink cartridge of each type black/color etc back though, the rest must be unopened (the idea is that you use one cartridge to test and if you dont like then you can return them).
