I've been searching for a new phone deal as my last plan's contract has expired.

Here are the latest deals from letstalk.com, I think these prices on the phones are the cheapest I've found on the net, including amazon.com and buy.com, when I am comparing the pricing after rebate. Don't know if amazon and buy.com have updated their pricing to compete. Have fun guys! On quite a few of these plans, you GET money to take the phone and sign up with the carrier, of course you get locked in for one or two years, which sucks. Caveat emptor.

If you go to one of those Mom and Pop shops
downtown in your city, You can usually get these phones free with a contract and not even bother with the rebates.

You would also get those car charger and what not for free.

you cannot get the high end phones like the i95cl free at mom and pop, and these "free" phones are usually the much older models. with those insane rebates like the $150 on the 3650, these are free "good" phones.

I've heard good things about the Siemens A56 for Cingular, and the letstalk price is 50 less than everybody, but depends on yr part of country... the Cing. GSM network is only in parts.

Nokia has always seemed to work for me. But the new one that they have now is just ugly.... I dunno if I'd want to be seen with that phone. My service will end in about 2 months ...hoping that they will have a better looking (normal small) phone that perfroms well like the 3360 I got now.

ATT Wireless offers webexclusive rates for some plans. Make sure you check their site first. You can get an extra 100 anytime on some plans by going through thier online store. Oh and they make all thier rebates instant rebates, which helps the tax burden. Good post though.

yeah, but letstalk matches most of those "extra 100 minutes" and has generally lowest prices for phones.

I just ordered the 3650 from Amazon, still have to send in 2 x $150 in rebates. Oh well, it's worth it (I hope).

no, depends on which mom and pops. some of those asian ones give out pretty good deals. back, hmm, like 2 years ago, my brother got a nokia 8290 for free with his $35 plan, and i added on to his in a family plan fashion and got it for $60. that's a pretty good deal. and it was a high-end phone back then. still one of the smallest now

rebates are def. a hassle, but from what i've heard about letstalk's rebates, they always come.

Anyone besides me think you should wait to see what's going to happen to prices when your cell number becomes portable on 11/24/03? It should drive down prices significantly when they can no longer hold you "hostage" by your number.

Yeah, that will def. be a boon to the industry, I really doubt that it will drive prices down significantly... i think there is an unsaid oligopoly on pricing on plans.
