I'm using www.earthviewer.com 's client, and i can't see any kind of building that could represent a business. this is a residential area for sure. and it looks like its definately a fake address b/c when i put down "5421N. East River Road" or "521N. East River Road" it brings it to the exact same place.

I've been looking over this whole scam for the last couple days. We have pretty much dissected this as much as it can be over in this thread over at the hardforum. People have wrote e-mails and even called. Also, something to note. They keep adding/changing things to their about page and some of the others. The bit about turkey is new as of this afternoon, and the credit card fraud part was added yesterday. When this site was first found, they were using a 3rd party company to handle transactions, this company I believe later dropped them. However, the thing to note, was that this company has a 30 day trial with no fees. Sorry, but I forgot what company it was.

It's a scam, plain and simple. Stay away like it's the plague.

Hey guys... Yeah, check out the above link to another thread on this, i"ve posted in it many emails that i've recieved from this "company". As of up to late they've been answering the questions, but when i emailed them asking how they can take nearly a half-million dollar loss (approx) and why some middle-eastern lady answered the phone and denied knowing anything about superb-bargains.org

I've have contacted Xbox, and a i have been notified that a supervisor has been notified and they are looking into if this is really a real business with such supposedly good ties to microsoft. They told me to check back with them on monday/tuesday for their results. Which i will do. I'm trying to find a good contact for Sony that i can notify of this (trying to find some sort of legal email i can direct my queries to)

Thanks scubasteve, THAT IS what I meant
I was wondering for my futures PM. I think is a good idea to make sure if I should PM a website or not. If it ends up being a scam, I don't want AMEX to think I'm part of it.

<<

<< >>>Say Walmart offered the same PS2 packs as they do, and I buy from Walmart and then try to PM it with AMEX. How would that go??<<<

Defrauding Amex by pricematching to a scam is going to hasten the demise of the BVG program. If you do this, then I guess you want it to go away faster.
>>

by what he edited into his post, I think he's saying he wants to know how exactly Amex finds out that they are a scam, then he can take the same actions that Amex does to find out if they are legit.

Hello Mr. Chang,
If you do not feel comfortable enough to order from us yet, even after visiting our website and reading our company information then I suggest you do not order from us. Wait until we open our offices in a few weeks time and then come in for a visit and order directly from us. we'd be glad to be of service then.
What I mean is, if you dont feel comfortable enough to order already then certainly your fears will not be assuaged by my replying 'YES, WE ARE A LEGIT COMPANY' to your email query.
(Note: Not to rush you or anything, but if you do decide to wait you'll be missing out on our Special Prices Deal, as it ends by the end of March)

and

At the moment, I can fax you an Invoice before and after you order ships as proof of payment, shipping if you wish.

Actually the .org isn't regulated really. It's generally accepted that it's for non profit orgs but it's widely used as a fall back if the .net and/or .coms are taken. People use them for personal pages, for business pages, etc..

I might actually look into this if I needed this, but doesn't seem worth the effort. I'm tired of searching and finding out the whole thing was a scam. Thx for the post though

I would like to know, at the very least, if they are already a 600 store chain, WHAT WAS THEIR NAME IN ASIA??

Anyway, of course its too good to be true. If they extend the scam or if it turns out to be legit into April, I will look for their address and make a visit(I live in Rockville, MD)

Give them a few days to research it and come up with something plausible :Q They have revised their site several times.

We B Cons Here their lies, I meant explanation.

Superb-Bargains.org: Who are we, and just how we do it?

Hello All,
First off thanks to all the people who took time out to write to us. Please let us assure you that we understand all your concerns fully and empathize with you, if we were in your position and came across a company like ours we'd be surprised too :0)

Please allow us to address your queries and explain our position,
A lot of people wonder how we afford to offer such excellent prices, well the answer's two-fold;
1) We're a newly-formed sister concern company of Gaming Consoles, Inc. (based chiefly in Turkey) who deal exclusively in Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation-2 systems. Operating in 35 countries with more than 650 retail outlets (mainly in Asia, South-East Asia and the Middle-East) we manage to buy these products in huge bulk amounts and hence get excellent rates. Since this is our first venture as online retailers we're offering great prices as a promotional effort, this brings us to reason #2;

2) We're currently selling all the listed products at a loss-price to us, this is chiefly in the spirit of attracting customers and basically promote our online presence as we're new to the world of Online Retailing.

Please Note: Our heavily-discounted prices are available for a limited time and will end by the 31st. of March '2002, so please get your orders in by then. From the date of our opening 3-weeks ago, we have served around 900 customers and solde over 1500 systems. Please note that after the 31st. of March '2002 No More Discounted Prices will be applied to any order!

Since we're new to the USA we've currently rented offices in Chicago, IL and Rockville, MD areas but have not yet moved in, As soon as our offices are fully operational we'll list our full address and contact numbers on the website. Hopefully we shall be completely operational in the USA by the 5th. of April '2002.

Also,in the true essesnce of the word we're basically wholesaler's and not retailers (per say) therefore, at the present time, we are in a position to offer excellent (and we mean it!) prices on Bulk Orders, if you order 5 or more systems from us you qualify for Bulk Discounting. Here's how it works;

Order 5 Systems: Discount on Items and Shipment = 15%
Order 10+ Systems: Discount on Items and Shipment = 20%!!
If you'd like to order in bulk, email us for a quote.

If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on info@superb-bargains.net

Thanks,
Superb-Bargains.org

Google.com - "Your search - "Gaming Consoles, Inc." - did not match any documents."

I feel *so* shocked and dismayed :Q

Forget those crazy ideas about getting another seller to PM or calling AMEX to get a check. I found the PS2 starter pack info states there is only a 90 day warranty. So where is the other 275 days?

Selling someone else reject. S***, they must have a pile of X-Boxes!
