Seemed like reasonable prices to me, especially compared to radio shack. I bought 2 50' cables last wednesday, got them saturday (from MD to CA). Shipping was 6 something total for usps priority mail.

That 75 ft one looks very tempting for me.
My tv ouside in the living room is about 45 ft from my computer.
Does anyone know if there is noticable signal degradation with a 50 or 75 ft cable?

The only thing to watch out for when buying s-video cables is that there is a big difference in video quality among the brands/variations of cables out there. Most of the lesser quality brand cables tend to degrade in quality over 10ft. Monster cables are good, but they are waayy too pricey. However, if you aren't running any high end equipment, I wouldn't worry about your cables then.

A good alternative to Monster Cables are cables from BetterCables.com. They sell very high quality cables (better than Monster cables) that are silver coated conductors (compared to Monsters copper conductors). However the prices are way higher than the deal here.

Shouldnt have to worry about that short a distance.

I've used a coupler to combine two 25' sections from PC's DVD (Voodoo3 TV out) to 53" Sony, and there were no signal degradation problems.

Should of known 3.99 for a 12' s-vidoe cable was too good to be true.

When I use it the screen is black with some red splotches on it. The signal is somewhat getting through because I can BARELY make out what is supposed to be on the screen. I tried an old s-video cord I have and it worked perfect so I am sure my components are fine. I suspect it has a bad pin or something.

I just requested a refund or replacement so I'll see how that goes before I judge them.
