Agreed. Although I found out after buying Pirellis they are now Chinese owned and the particular tires I bought were made in Mexico. All of the Bridgestone and Yokohama tires I've bought were made in Japan. But those tended to be the higher dollar models.
Little bit of research never hurts...
For example... trailer tires are notoriously shitty. Most are made in China. ***However, the goodyear marathons made here in the U.S. are really shitty too. I buy Maxxis (Canadian company) Trailer Tires that are made in Taiwan and am on my third set of four with no blow outs....I really wanted to buy U.S. made, but just couldn't risk the Goodyears. Ironically, the Maxxis tires cost me almost 2x each what the Goodyears would.
The Kenda Klevers I have on my rock crawler are made in China and are actually quite good for the money... No issues at all. Even wear, no blowouts, etc.
So Just pointing at China and saying everything made there is crap is a misnomer. A bit a research helps.
