Cheap USB cables!

Everyone needs some extra usb cables. I was at Target yesterday and they were charging $14 for a 6' USB cable! Outrageous!
This used to be a microcenter only thread but I've been informed of some other deals by people on this thread so I'm including them too.

This is available online but the shipping is $6 so BM is far prefereable if Microcenter is in your area.

Not to thread-crap, but CompGeeks always has 9.5ft non-name USB 2.0 cables for $0.95 and 10 footers for $1.25. I bought a whole bunch of these so I'll never want for USB cables again. They work fine.

The Belkin cables are prettier, though, and the ends are gold-plated, for what that's worth.

ordered 5 cables to balance out the shipping. total was 11.65 shipped. not bad considering every crappy B&M wants $30 for one.

Something that wasn't mentioned is that if you are buying from CompGeeks, after you place one of the usb cables into
your cart, scroll down the (cart) page and you will see "add-on" offers. You buy the first cable for $0.90 and they will let
you buy a 2nd for a 10-15% discount ($0.75?). So if you are buying a bunch, just add them to your cart in pairs. It's not much,
but every bit helps especially in bulk. (also received the same discount on a 2nd pair of FM headphones, so maybe they do this
for a bunch of other items too, so check that cart page if you want 2+)

Using one of those, just picked up 2 Sony floppy drives (yeah, I know floppies are dinosaurs, but still the fastest way to do some things!), 4 USB A/B cables and 4 9.5" patch cables. After discount, $24.90 plus 8 bucks shipping to VA. Was looking around for a floppy today to go in a machine I am putting together and best I could find at the big stores was about $30 for ONE. Sc**w that!
