Cheap video card for new system

I'm thinking of building a new gaming pc for myself and letting my dad have my (sorry to say) useless Dell. At first I thought I should buy an X1950XT, as it's probably the best bang for the buck, but I thought twice and maybe I should wait until some affordable DX 10 cards come out. I'm thinking about a 7600GT. What other good cards are there for about $100 or less if possible? I'll list all the parts I'm buying so any advice is very welcome:

-Cooler Master black computer case
-Apevia 500 watt power supply
-Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz processor
-Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2 memory
>insert video card here<
-Western Digital SATA 3.0Gb/s HD
-Samsung DVD+R/RW
-Creative Sound Blaster SB0570 Audigy (I have no idea about sound cards)
-Windows XP service pack 2 w/coupon for Vista (gonna stick with XP for now)

You have your answer. It's fast enough so that you won't kill yourself in frustration, and cheap enough to not break the bank. ZZF has an eVGA 7600GT for $110 with free shipping and $20 rebate (so $90AR).

I'll second the 7600 GT. I'm making a PC for my mom with specs similar to that (except 1GB RAM), with a 7600 GT. Any way you look at it, the 7600 GT is easily the best midrange card there is. It's a great card at a great price, nothing ATI can do yet (for the $100 range, anyway)!

All right, cool. Can anyone give me advice on the system I'm building overall? Is it the most price efficient?

If you plan on over-clocking or are willing to consider doing it, you should get the E4300 instead of the E6400 as it tends to over-clock just as well but for $50 cheaper.
