i got to get some decent speakers in my office. Space is limited, so a tiny 2.1 is ideal. I want to buy off amazon so i get them here tomorrow. What would you recommend.

(Disclaimer for all you retards on this forum who love to complain) Yes, i know i can better sound going bookshelf or using a full receiver, or even a t-amp. I want to keep it simple and use the good ol' 2 speakers on the side of my monitor trick.

any of these will be good: Klipsch @ Newegg
or swanns M10 2.1 speaker is supposed to be really good.
Or if you want some bigger speakers you could get these: Presidian 2 way speakers
They are only $15 for the pair, and supposedly they are pretty good. Extremely good for $15. Someone said that they were about as good as $100 speakers.

Three points.

1) He didn't say he wanted $100, $200, or $300 speakers - he said he wanted $15 speakers.

2) Do you know what would happen if you were to sit a mere 24 inches from some of these speakers? PERMANENT. HEARING. LOSS.

3) Passive speakers need this thing called AN AMPLIFIER, so don't go recommending passive speakers unless you can come up with a $15 amplifier* to power them.

Good grief, people.

*PS: But if you know of such a beast, then I'm all ears.

Or at least I'll be all ears until the PERMANENT HEARING LOSS sets in.

1. Where does he say $15?

2. You can get hearing damage from any set of speakers, all these are going to have volume control on them. Big speakers doesn't mean you have to turn them up all the way. Better speakers can even allow you to enjoy music at lower volumes since you might not have to turn it up as much to get it to sound reasonably good.

3. No $15 requirement from what I can see, but yeah, passive speakers is something he specifically said he didn't want to do in the OP.

I didn't see this thread initially before the 12th so I figured I wouldn't respond with recommendations after that point.

huh? I didn't see price, he said cheap, not crappy.

you don't get permanent hearing loss from sitting close to the speakers, you get that for blasting them and have only yourself to blame.

the ones I recommended are powered monitors. Meaning the amplifier is in the speaker. They are used for music studios.

yes, this post basically mirror yoyo's post.
