Just wondering if there are any "bargain" drives yet, for PCI-E 4.0 NVMe? What would the minimum size be to actually build a drive that would be fast enough to "push" PCI-E 4.0 performance?
the ones I know about so far:
Corsair MP600
Sabrent Rocket 4.0
Inland Pro 4.0 (?)
MP600 1TB says this:
MP600 500GB says this:
So, it looks like a 1TB NVMe is the smallest that you would want to go for max sequential speeds.

MP600 1TB says this:
- Extreme Gen4 storage performance: A PCIe Gen4 x4 controller delivers up to 4, 950 MB/s sequential read and 4, 250 MB/s sequential Write speeds, for blazing fast read, write, and Response times.
