I will still buy two of these and one other cheap item.
My experience: I bought something at 149.98 and bought a set of pencil to make it over $150. Then the big item arrives, later on I received e-mail saying that the pencil set was out of stock and they kick back the coupon.
My 2 cents: buy 2 cheap items to lower the chance of this happening.
I thought this was pretty obvious, but the point is not that you can get it for free, but you can use it to bump your purchase price up to use a coupon.
It's amazing how people can totally miss the point of this post. It's a price "bump" so you can use a coupon! On a $74.98 order you can buy two of these to use a $25 off $75 coupon. Can it be explained any clearer? The comments people are making about EB@ying them is sarcasm for the "doofuses" who would rather call names than try to comprehend.
Umm it says on the page only one offer per customer. So it only works on the .99 items. Still it can definitley make a difference in these cases! Besides the cd will make a nice frisbee. Really miss those AOL floppies though. They were so handy to reformat and reuse.
It's a great find!! $0.01 frisbee / mirror / coaster .... plus a Cd sleeve to hold your CD-R
Hope this is not a limited time promotion.
Last time I spent 3-4 hours found the lowest price item for $0.12 which is the plastic core for a tape dispensor. I did not order it as I don't want to wast e $0.12 for something that I don't need (though I already wasted 5 hours). I don't want pencil and paper clips ($0.16). Last time I end up with $0.59 big rubber bands, at home something that I can use one day (still in unopened blister package).
rml - Just so you know, Staples can't do that. When you checked out you agreed to have your credit card charged for a certain amount.(with taxes added in after) If they charged you more than what you agreed to, they should either arrange to have the item shipped back to them or charge you the original agreed upon price. You are perfectly within your rights to have your CC company dispute the amount.
The same thing happened to me on a $50 order. I talked to a CSR and told her that I wasn't interested in paying the full price. It was the discount that brought me to Staples. She then credited the $20 coupon to my CC.
Plus the cd comes with a postcard to send in to cancel your AOL account. I've been using this cd for a while to bump my order up in price. I make sure to send in every postcard even though I don't have an AOL account...
